In the process of moving a winch from one truck to another. Is it OK to re-use the bolts? Have heard that fine thread bolts should not be re-used once torqued down.

I ask because although i didnt have to use a torch to remove them, just alot of air, they do look kinda stretched in places.

If I need to replace them, does anyone who has done this before happen to still have a list of all the necessary bolt sizes?

I re-used all my bolts. If you want new, you may want to try contacting George at White Owl Parts Inc. You do realize these are specialized bolts with a shoulder unlike anything you can get retail.

OP said "fine thread" which the 12 shouldered ones are not...

All other mounting bolts are std. sizes, 1/2"- 20 and 5/8"- 18, grade 5 or better. Re-use all but a visibly stretched bolt; there are more than needed and they are oversized anyways for their function... The "weak link" are the frame extensions and (stamped) mounting supports in itself, not the bolts, IMHO.

I reused most of my bolts. Had to chase the threads with a die but they worked fine after that. There were a few of the shorter bolts that the threads were too far gone so I had to replace them.

You're much better off re-using the bolts if you can. You can get quite a few dollars in bolts if you don't.
