Good AFternoon from ND folks I just wanted you to see my lastest addition to my Deuce, its a Delta Pro series storage box that I mounted to my M-35A2 using two step supports that I got from Deuceman51, this is an all steel lockable storage box that replaces the spare tire and winch assemble to lift the spare into place, the box seems very good quality and to me it actually looks like it was meant to be on the truck. Just thought you folks would be interested

very cool. do you still have room for a spare tire there as well or have you mounted that elsewhere? i have a 109 so it would be a little different to mount something like that. but i like [thumbzup]

HI smokewagon I have room for the box and about a 3 foot piece of 8 inch PVC pipe behind it, the spare tire is going into the bed of the truck, I need to figure out a good way to mount it to the headboard (still working on that) but this box does give me some LOCKABLE storage on the truck which of course is just not there in any other form!

An easy solution for mounting the spare would be to get the spare tire carrier for a M818 and use that. Just use the tire carrier and not the whole cross support and just bolt it to the bed wherever you want it to go.

That is pretty awesome. However, I don't think I could lose my tool rack. I think my old GI axe that I carry around is the most used tool I carry on the deuce.

I used the original bracket that held the tire and a long U-Bolt and through a headache rack support for my spare when I mounted my spare super single in one of my trucks. Put some wood in the rack to stiffen it up also. Hope this helps, sorry no photos, but pretty self explanitory.

Do you have a part number for that storage box? Also I mounted my pioneer on the inside of the bed, on the troopseat braces, so when the troop seats are in use the tool rack is below, and out of the way.

Very nice install. You are correct in that it looks like it belongs there. I have given thoughts of doing the same thing. Extra lockable storage is always a good thing.

I like it Karl...far more practical than the pioneer rack and spare I don't plan to keep in place.

Is it a "New" delta box or one use salvaged?

Mind shareing the model #, also what did you do to prep the surface or was it origionally white?

Thanks
