I've seen a civy body on a 5 ton frame.

not so crazy about the bed choice but im thinking if it were generally cleaned up might look pretty good. certainly a workable concept.

Judging by the shadow, the bed length looks pretty good.

I'm all for the concept! A deuce or 5 ton running gear mixed with the comforts of a civvy cab makes sense to me!

I wonder if its actually operable ? Or is the cab just placed on there ? Thinking about the control mechanics of that setup : steering, gearshift, pedals..........

A GM Hydro steering column, hydro brakes and a hanging pedal cluster probably came with that cab, which makes it closer to plug and play. I could be wrong. I thought I was once, but it turned out I was mistaken.

One thing to think about before you do something like that is your states bumper hight laws. If you put a cucv cab on a deuce frame they will consider it a 1-ton truck because they usually go by what the cab says. Out here in VA. where I live the law says 32" on a 1-ton truck. Alot of states are more restrictive than that. Some states do go by head light height and you can use snowplow lights mounted in the bumper at a legal height to get around that. Before you put alot of time and money into building a big-ol frankenstine truck you should probly look into your states lift laws.
