I have an APC dome light(s) and I know they are 24 volt and the work with 12 volts, just dull as anything. I was hoping someone can give me the 12Volt cross for these bulbs

Larger Light Bulb ML-1691
Small Light Bulb CEC623

I can send pictures if needed.

Thank you.

Everything is urgent and has to be answered NOW. He can't be bothered with using the search feature and following the rules like everyone else. Look at all his posts in aggregate and they don't add up. I know I am a new guy here but this is getting ridiculous!

Yeah I know, I'm just trying to let him know that he can have the parts in hand by going to the parts store when he goes to lunch tomorrow rather than ordering them tonight and getting them in 3 days in the mail.

Pull the bulb and take it to a parts store.. They would probably be able to give you it's 12v version just by sight... That's what I would do
When I had a M101A2 trailer I just took the two bulbs to Autozone and bought the same looking bulbs and pins. Took me like 5 minutes at the parts store and my trailer was no 12v and not 24v to use on my CUCV.

Even after doing a search and finding/posting a thread with the answer to his question(I call that teaching), he PM'd me and said the thread I sent about a dumptruck was of no use. Obviously did not read it.

If he had read the FOURTH sentence in the thread, he would have read this. I used a 1165 bulb for the bigger one and a 67 for the smaller one.

I don't think being in a hurry is the issue.

Seeing as how the guy in the thread you are so quick to quote from is talking about blackout lights and not what the OP of this thread asked about (an APC dome light) I would have to say your comment is irrelevant and nothing but harassment. One can only assume the bulbs are the same and you know what happens when you assume things. And as far as those that responded with "just go to the store and match it up to another one that looks the same" there's one problem with that. It's called wattage. Just because a bulb looks the same that does not mean it has the same wattage rating. You wouldn't want to put a 25 watt bulb where a 10 watt bulb should go. Depending on the housing that could mess things up if the bulb was on for a long period of time.

The OP asked a question and was trying to find a proper equivalent 12 volt version. If you don't like the question then move on.

Dead wrong(you do not know me or my intension's), You made an incorrect assumption(remember what you said about assumptions?)

Ruppster, lately you have been negative, and antagonistic to almost all my posts. In BFR terms, you seem to be "anti-doghead" It needs to stop, it is unwarranted. You do not need to defend OPs in all threads.

You do not know me. You are wrong, if you think I am trying to add any tension to this thread. I merely offered good help.

If you don't like the question then move on.
Maybe you should take some of your own advice.

You recently posted this,
The sad part is some people can do nothing but say "do a search". That's fine but how about adding a hint like "try searching for 'this phrase' or 'that phrase'" to help that person narrow down the search? To add insult to injury there's one mod in perticular that's real quick to respond with "use the search feature, it's been asked before" yet has also asked basic questions himself that could have been answered by reading an FAQ. It gets me how it's okay for him to ask "simple questions" yet will slam a newbie in a heartbeat for doing the same thing. Talk about double standards. I know the mods here have a tough time trying to keep this site running as well as it does and I appreciate those that do so with patience and fairness. But if you watch long enough you will see that each mod has their own way of doing things.
and I pretty much did exactly what you suggested, yet you find fault in my post again.

Stop posting your BS in the forums.

Boy, talk about a conundrum. If I reply to all your claims it would be a highjack of the OP's thread. But if I start a new thread to dispute all your accusations that too could be seen as being out of line. Since you are a "moderator" I will ask you how to proceed so I don't step on anyone else's toes. Shall I reply in this thread, start a new thread to prevent a thread highjack, or send you a PM that you could post as a new thread? If it is here or another thread that leads to my next question:

Permission to speak freely, SIR!

Anyhow, back to the OP. Have you tried finding your bulbs a different route? Maybe try looking up what the wattage rating is of the 24 volt bulbs and look for a 12 volt bulb with the same wattage. Speaking of the 24 volt bulbs, does the APC light have bulbs in it still? If so have you looked for numbers on the base of them? If so these numbers would be the commercial version and might be easier to research then trying to use the military stock number.

the op posted the numbers that was on the bulbs in post #1, It is EASY to cross the numbers at NAPA from 24v to 12v, It is just a matter of doing it instead It is easier to have somebody ealse research it for him

Duh, you're right. Don't know why I was thinking he posted the mil part number and not the civilian number. Teach me not to go back and re-read the initial posts. Thanks.
