Can you research, identify and evaluate sources for product needed for customer quotations and contracts? Can you locate obsolete parts or have an end of life product knowledge for specific platforms??


Duties/Responsibilities:

• Locate and Identify sources of obsolete spare parts
• Develop and maintain relationships with industry specific vendors
• Purchase the highest quality merchandise at the lowest possible price and in correct amounts.
• Submit RFQ’s and review requisitions for goods and services.
• Research and evaluate suppliers based on price, quality, selection, service, support, availability, reliability, production and distribution capabilities, and the supplier's reputation and history.
• Analyze price proposals and other data and information to determine reasonable prices.
• Monitor and follow applicable laws and regulations to ensure compliance with contractual obligations and to determine need for changes.
• Negotiate, or renegotiate with suppliers, vendors, and other representatives.

Requirements

Experience/Education:

• Bachelor’s degree from four-year College or University
• 6 years experience with sourcing product for Military LAND vehicles and/or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Ability to locate obsolete parts or have an end of life product knowledge for Military Land Vehicles
• Minimum 10 years experience without degree
• Advanced computer software skills; Microsoft Outlook and Excel
• Advanced communication skills
• Advanced negotiating skills also required
• Ex-military preferred.

Newspapers typicially put employment ads in the classifieds ( in the want ads ) .

Edit; maybe there needs to be a help wanted section added to the updated classifieds mangus is working on .

I dont think they care. I think they are just using SS to advertise (for free) for a job opening. Some how I have a feeling they will not be back here asking how to change the filters or their "new" deuce.

As much as I'd like to see one of us get the job or to hear than someone on here out of work got a job, I'd rather see the post deleted, thats not what this site is about.

Ive seen other members (regular, contributing members) advertise job openings and offering jobs to other members, I'm cool with that.

I have used them in the past to locate some odd deuce stuff in the past. Like Wrecker said, they are out of Melbourne Florida. They find old MV parts. You can find anything from A3 split brake parts to fording parts. At least it's a MV related job!
