Power port?

Hey guys, I've done some searching here on SS as well as Google, and I can't find much. What exactly is the "port" with the threaded cover under our dashes for? I'm guessing from what little info I have found that it is some type of power supply port. If so, can it be used to power anything useful? Thanks!

It's the port for the STE/ICE. It's basically an OBD port.

Yep..it is a diagnositic port for the STE/ICE diagnostic equipment.

You had to know this was coming. Read the -10 manual. It has pictures of everything in the cab and tells you what they do.

You laugh. I do let my daugter do it on the old tm I had! i upgraded to a tm in protective sleves cause i use it so dang much!
