Please pardon my 2nd part... this is a 208 case with a 700r4 constructed out of unassembled junk. I didn't or noticed anything of that sort of the crap I have seen in the yards around. do I need to fab it? or is this OEM part for this set up??

The cross member is because he used a 700r trans. He will have to get the brace and skid plate from something with the same combo he used! Should be easy to find or at least around here. unless the high scrap metal price has claimed most of the older stuff in his area. I HATE SCRAPPERS they take all the good stuff and leave the scrap!

Nut your right... like rnd said I swaped out the 400 for 700r4 I spent alot time in junkyards around my house here, looking for the right cross member and detent cable bracket. Heck one yard doubled as cow pasture with dand burn big cows and poop all over to retrive parts none of them IMR had the brackets or skidsplates.. Maybe the smell or me worring about the bulls distrcated me..

There was a few truck bone yards north of me that doubled as a cow pasture ,
thats how they keep the grass and weed from overgrowing everything. They just keep moving them to different areas .
