I get that if I do "quick reply". The quote option seems to work though.

Yes. this is the 3rd thread Ive seen about this problem.

I have to reply either with using quote or the "add reply" button. I can not do quik reply, unless Ive already replied in the thread, then everything appears normal.

No, I started a thread that had that video, a long time ago. The title was "wow, why isn't this a sticky". 2-26-10 to be exact. See my link?
