Sure glad I had the 2 I got last year at Selfridge hauled home. No regrets.
Kanga Roos Transport out of Holly, MI did it for me.

I spoke with Bob's trucker last year, seemed very professional. But, when I contacted him about transporting some trailers from down south he would never get back with me. I figured after a couple emails and a couple of phone calls he would have gotten back with me unless he just didn't want to haul m101a2/3's...

I had EUC revisions this morning, as soon as I sent it out I saw the problems. There is no room for a 4th line to put a phone number for the guy I bought it for, so I had to write it in...oh, well...I've already faxed it back.

They might schedule staggered recoveries, it might not be quite like Joe used to do with 10 people showing up at once. At Letterkenny it was all staggered out with specific time slots...not sure what way GL is going with things.

Does this trucking service do state to state? I tried looking them up last night and it said intrastate and if I remember my CDL class correctly (I only have a class B with air brakes endorsement so I cant haul trailers :/ ) that meant they stayed within the state limits.

I actually have a question for those of you who have a few recoveries under your belt. If I show up and the truck is not road worthy will they let me leave it there and have a company haul it home? Or is it the first time you go to get it, it has to leave the lot?

Well Im ready now, it should be fun to see how everything goes at recovery time. When I was at Selfridge two weeks ago the GL guy from Pennsylvania said Selfridge was done as far as a DRMO/GL site. The Lansing and Grayling sites were going to be the new hot spots down the road. Only time will tell

hcso, many, many trucking companies will do interstate. Contact someone local that has a step-deck or a low boy and see what they will charge you. Have the weight ready and the round trip miles.

Leaving the truck there is maybe a possibility, but you are spending lots of money in fuel to drive up here for nothing...it all really depends on the situation and how anal the GL people that are there. Joe probably would have just rescheduled you, not sure about the new guy.

I'd plan on 1 trip and 1 recovery, it will cost around a $1000 or so to have it hauled to your state...not exactly sure where Noblesville is though.

Never been to Grayling, but they will not have much besides ammo boxes and stuff.

Lansing will be a great place to buy from.

I just got back from picking up a medium tow bar up in East Jordan, so I'm pretty much all set for my recovery. I just need to go through the brakes and make sure everything is still 5-by-5.

Way cheaper than regular rates!!!!!!!!!
2 trucks 180+miles for $450
Even at $750 It would have been a better way to go than all the spares & tools & chase vehicles, personnel, etc.
If you can hit just I-94 it's not bad, but I had to go across town to I-75 & that was too much city for me with two unknown trucks.

I actually have a guy locally who said he would haul it back. He's a good friend so he said he will cut me a deal. I had forgot about him until recently . I was just curious about the leaving it there if I couldn't recover it myself. I dont mind makeing the trip, I really want the "recovery" experience. Might sound silly but it's just one of those things I'm kinda looking forward to.

Hmm... so half that distance should be half the price? You have a contact name and number?

I would think that as long as you pick it up within the 10 days from your invoice, they shouldn't have a lot of heartburn about it.

Does anyone know if Battle Creek has been slow lately. My first EUC took over 4 months, and the second took less then 10 days.

Not sure how BC is doing this year, haven't had a EUC go through yet. Mine has been sent to BC after 2 revisions...my last one (last year) was only 5 days I think (or 7, can't remember).

hcso, glad to hear you got a trucker! That is the very surest and safest way to get home. I will be towing the one I bought for a friend home with my deuce. I will do a oil change and fuel filter change before I head out...still haven't done that since I bought it! I should probably bleed the brakes to (my dad did his and his pedal is at the top...I mean, at the top and you touch it and the truck stops!)

I called Kangaroos and they quoted me $550 for two trucks. I called another company (a name I got from our man Ted) and he quoted me $500 plus he has a LOT of experience hauling Deuces. I'm seriously considering it.

My first EUC (this past April) took only 2 weeks, with one revision. I'm anticipating this one will be just as fast or faster.

Well finally The GL site said my EUC was sent to BC, I gave them a call today just to ask why it wasent posted yet. They said no reason everything was "ok". A few minutes later I checked the GL site and guess what it said EUC sent to BC. My last one in Feb. only took 14 days. I hope this one goes just as fast.

That's what I thought too, but it is in an unusual place. Most often they are at the top right of the grill.

You could maybe just pull the chains off of your 105 trailer. Open up the tow bar, measure how long it is and see if the trailer chains will work.

Way to short.

I use 2 14ft chains w/hooks on each end. Run the chains through the clevises in between the trucks in an x pattern. Hook the hooks on the chain and duct tape them to keep them from coming loose. I have right about 1000 miles on this set up w/o a hook coming loose.

14ft was a a lil long though.
