M1008 upgrade

I am gettin the 1008 ready for my club's anual rally so I decided to go with a top this year.I am pretty sure this top is really for an 880 but looks like it will be a go, sure is tight but it has been folded up in a barn for years, I got it from a neighbor who was in the guard back in the 70's.I am hoping the sun shining on it for a day or so will allow it to stretch a bit,

Also picked up some ramps for my new mule hauler, looks like this is gonna work out pretty well.

So if anyone besides me was wondering if an 880 cargo cover would fit I believe the answer is yes.

Tires are 37's, 4inch lift and the trailer is an M116 genny trailer

What is the top speed with the 37" tires? I'm going to put the 37" on mine to get a higher top end speed.

I run about 60 on the highway, I'm sure it would go faster but I drive like an old man

I dont know for sure how Tom set his up but mine had stock hubs and I used two inch billet spacers no rubbing turning at all but even with my four inch lift if I hit a good hole the tires would hit the bottoms of the front fenders.

Yep, 4 inches.I am using spacers too, no rub and I have not tried to bottom out yet, need to get offroad a bit to check that out

How wide are your spacers ?

I wonder if the dually hub would make it better or worse ?

Of course the canvas top should fit. The beds are standard beds of practically the same size.
The trailer looks nice and is in the legal Army limit for a M1008. Go on with your effords!
At 70 mph the M1008 starts to dink a lot of Diesel, 60 mph is for my oppinion the better choise.

I'm halfway through a 5" lift and 37's project so this makes me want to get it done! I really like the stance of the truck and the look of the 12-bolts.
