So after I beat it in the mudbog last weekend it's time to clean it up. I bought this truck 2 yrs ago and the frame was spotless and now look after 2 winters. The stuff they use is brutal. So before it gets any worse, I yanked the bed off(by myself) tonight and am going to clean up the frame and use some POR 15.

hahahaha, I went up t the welding supply to get mig wire this a.m. and I grabbed a few brazing rods to replenish what I used. They had dust on them. The guys said he didn't think there was anyone left who knew how to braze...:D
****, I'm not that old. when I worked in a bodyshop in my teens as Chief Sweep, I learned from an old timer. I can actually braze better than I mig. Trick is not using too much heat and warping the panel.

hey I got the restoration paint from Mil spray, anyone know if that stuff is toxic ? Reason I ask is my 6 yr old has my old steel tonka truck so I sandblasted it for him and he wants me to paint it olive drab...I don't want him getting sick from playing with it..
