Recovered last Thursday. Truck is even better than the GL video showed it.
Typical surface rust here and there, cargo bed is surpisingly rust free, just a few scrapes on the floor that are showing some surface rust. Cargo cover has a few small holes in the top. Troop seats are in good shape.
Only place rust is prevelant is the top of the cab, I need to sand and paint up there.
Got bonuses, medical kit, jack, gladhand hose inflator, chocks.
The recovery was pretty uneventful! I was loaded for bear reading the stories of some recoveries. Had a generator, compressor, gallons of fluids, half my tool box, saw, wood, two batteries(which wouldn't have fit in the box!) and everything else but the kitchen sink.
Had one flat, right middle. Truck started right up after cranking about 20 seconds. CTIS would not inflate the tire, so I used the gladhand inflater, once it got a few lbs in the tire the CTIS kicked on and functioned perfectly.
All fluids were good except antifreeze, had to add 1 gallon. Batteries look brand spanking new! Drive home went great ecept for everybody riding up our rear ends!
Missing a knob for the wipers, all lights work, there's numerous new looking hoses on the cat. Looks like this truck was getting readied (or the MN NG takes good care of their equipment). Tires all look pretty new(5000 miles on Odometer, 312 hours).
Extremely happy with the purchase. My 13 year old daughter gets a real kick driving this thing around the yard! Wife too. She took it "around the block" yesterday.
