Many thanks to Jim ( The Recorder) and his brothers as well as Richard (Boo Boo) and his son Robert for putting on the fly -by on Saturday morning. That will be hard to beat.
Great seeing all the DB regulars and meeting a few of the new guys from So- Cal.
Thanks to Hundy and Hole for the Deuce Dueling. Always something new at DB.

And to the group who hung out late into Sunday morning around the camp fire:

Hypothetically speaking if I was sitting around a camp fire at DB on a couch minding my own buisness I might end up talking to the Red Power Ranger or find myself volunteering to be struck by lightining . And hypothetically speaking I might see lightning strike the same object twice in a matter of hours.

Hypothetically speaking I'd probably be having a good time .

Last 20 miles home was pretty rough, the rear main is dumping oil on the clutch. Couple cans of brake cleaner and easy driving got us in the driveway.

Glad you made it back Dug. I guess it's a good thing your retired now looks like you might be busy under the truck for a few hours. I'm sorry I didn't get to help you frag the hard drives , I hope somebody else was able to assist you with them.

Glad you made it home DUG, let me know if I can be of assistance if you need more than just soldier b.

The sat. morning fly-by fun will definately be hard to beat (anyone got a line on an F-18?)

Great to see everyone and meet a few new people. Can't wait for the next one. The M109 will be there even if I have to tow it in!

Good times!! Just got home, I have a few pics I'll put up later. Weather was epic, nice breeze, not too hot, prefect at night. I don't think it could have gotten any better than it was. There was a huge turn out. Lots of very nice trucks. Fastnova, you have a way cool ride!

Thanks Will, so when is the next one? This time I'm taking off work from thursday and leaving behind anybody that can't stay the whole weekend. Now that I saw what kind of noise makers everyone brought I'll make sure to be better prepared. So when is the next one? I volunteer my truck for the next 5 ton Dueling. Who's up for it? Did I ask when is the next one?

If I could make a suggestion that we roast a pig or a side of beef for everyone on the first night, you guys had enough firewood for it already.
Thanks to everyone for making my 1st CDG great.

I had a great time as usual. The fly by fell right into place with all the crazy stuff I see out there every time I go! Saw some old faces and met some new. As usual I was the last to leave and the camp was spick and span. The only strange thing was my load coming back was almost as heavy as driving out there? :p Once again I have to Thank you guys for letting me play and putting up with me!

The wife and I had a great time and can't wait for the next one. Sorry I broke off early but when the cell started working I found out we had a work issue we had to get to in a hurry (at 55 mph) .

I'll post a few pictures when I can find the camera.

BLK HMMWV I'd hypothetically agree with your hypothetical.

I liked the spray painted stencil left on my front fender....:p

Thanks to all....this dirtbag was definitely the most electric yet, hypothetically!:D

Happy to here everyone made it home.

Fly By? Parachuters? Hang Gliders? Noise Makers? Shovel Weenies? Dueling Deuces? Bon Fires?
Holy Crap!, what else did I miss? Where the Pics for those of us that had a bad case of "hang fire"?
In addition to all of that -

My group heard a "noise" and saw a large black, round object fly through the air outside of camp. My friend commented that someone had just launched a basketball somehow. I turned to him and said - "Brother, this is DIRTBAG! That was a BOWLING BALL, minimum."

It was. No idea on the distance, but it was high and far.

No matter when you get to DIRTBAG or who you hang out with, you always just missed something cool. I don't think the phrase - "Did you see (insert awesome thing here)" has ever been used more.

Bowling ball??? I missed that! Had a great time. You guys know how to live it up.

Larry, you sir have my highest respect, it was nice to meet your wife as well.

George, Ill make sure I drag the little vehicle out next time too, in case you want to go for that ride.

Jim/Rick, thanks for being good neighbors. My ride didnt get tagged.. Hmmm I wonder whats up with that??? What color paint was it, maybe a shade called "Freaking Awsome Green"?

Both Wills, You are most gracious hosts!!

Hundy, Ill keep my eyes out... If you need a number to a good tire guy, let me know..

Devin, I will talk to mama about those arrangements.

And to all of the other dirtbags I hypothetically spoke with, be good and stay clean. Best of luck to all.

Was the white chute and payload ever found? The pilot and bombardier spent a long time looking for it when they arrived in camp. I told the pilot it was a shame that he went to all the trouble to get a plane, make such a perfect drop and then have to drive out there and look for it himself. Seems his little brother could have tried harder.

Met1, thanks for everything but are you sure you didn't get tagged? Have you checked the right side door? When you drove by it seemed pretty visible.

I'll let you know ahead of time the next time I'm driving by on the 10, just in case.:p

Yes I believe it was recovered . Jim Got it back on Sunday morning before we rolled out. I'm not sure who had it but Jim recovered the chute , the rest was missing but I think that was all part of the plan.

Boo Boo
I'm thinking a working radio in my rig would be easier than learning Polish sign language. However the universal sign for "your number one" is easy I figured it out the first time.
Also tell Robert the light show was a big hit .

Met1
Hypothetically speaking.
I want to make sure it's not the booze talking when I take that ride with you I tend to say and do some stupid stuff when it's around.
I think it's probably safer than taking a ride with "Wee Man" in the "Spruce Deuce" however. Hypothetically !!
I'm glad the Freaking Awesome Green fairy didn't come over to see Herbie he doesn't like them he's still trying to get used to his own name. I'm not sure were he came from or who he is but I guess he won't tell and we can't ask. I'm hoping it will fade away now that it's out in the light for all to see.

The Recorder:
I have a few minutes of video shot from the camera on the Raven Friday morning that I will send to you for processing. It's a bit rough but not quite as bad as the Raven is now. We will be working out some technical issues for the next one.

Fall Dirt Bag was a blast as always.
I did get a few complaints from a few people about Sundays alarm clock maybe it's time for me to stop waking people up so early. But then again a few people slept through it. Go figure

BH/CC/aka The Rooster.

Complaints? Did we even have a Sunday alarm clock? If so you should STEP IT UP next time to something I can hear.
