    MEP-005A Question

It it was the line that was just laying on the bottom of the generator, that one went from the electric fuel pump to the water separator.

    MEP-005A Question

With the aux line that would be the only way it would make sense.

    MEP-005A Question

There is not 35 foot of that specific fuel line in a 005 or 004. 35 foot of line could wrap around the entire generator almost 2 times

    MEP-005A Question

Maybe they're assuming you have to order a roll that comes in 35 foot length because there's definitely not that much used on a 005... maybe 8-10 foot total.

    MEP-005A Question

It sold to the guy not far from me that bought that electrical nightmare 005. In regards to Eagle Eye 3 's post, I have my fuel lines made by my local NAPA. They're technically hydraulic psi rated but they work fine with fuel. Don't know the thread pitch specifically but if you look up the...

    MEP003 NO FUEL

Make sure they actually work. Pull them off and put a paper under them while turning over the motor and check spray pattern after you verify fuel is flowing to them.

    J R Hollingsworth MEP-005A conversion

I think a MEP-004 would be much better suited for your setup. More fuel efficient too. Find one with an ASK and it would be even better.

    J R Hollingsworth MEP-005A conversion

The issue is exactly that, having more than enough. Was that generator a 10kw peak or 10kw continuous generator? Was your only issue when the heat and well pump was combined draw? The 005 will suffer from wet stacking probably in your case. If you're deadset on using this generator, once you...

    J R Hollingsworth MEP-005A conversion

I have a 005 that I'm going to either going to sell whole or part out soon if you or he decide to convert it back to the original system / wiring.

    J R Hollingsworth MEP-005A conversion

I understand the price was definitely a motivator, but do you really want/need a 30kw? I don't know what size house you have, but most houses only need a 10-15kw and have a low kw resting pull. If you do not have constant load around 10kw(ish) on it you are going to have wet-stacking issues.

    J R Hollingsworth MEP-005A conversion

I saw that generator for sale on FB marketplace for a while, it was only about 1.5 hours from me. While the price and hours were low, they sure did a number on that electrical system. I doubt you will be able to convert without issue to single phase due to the modified voltage regulator and...

CUCV2/CUCV-II Owners, post pics and info of your truck

 Yes to both. The 24v system is for jumping other MVs and for 24v accessories like radios, etc. I know of a local 1998 CUCVII tahoe and 1998 CUCVII pickup that are both factory diesel, and wired the exact same as mine with 12v starting system from the factory.

    MEP-004

I messaged him several days ago. I've tried setting up a pickup date but he doesn't reply much.
