Yepper, mine broke too. I ordered a replacement crank from e-bay and it came in 3 days. WOW :D
I took the door panel off and got the window down and apart and everytihing. Started looking for the damn lock cylinder and its friggin MIA :x
Some of those little parts vanished like a fart in...
I give up because of the 101 different variations, possible problems and general BS dealing with the AC thing. Its something I'll worry about next summer...Anything I have to move or do with my truck I'll do at night when its not 95 degrees!
RE: air...
Now that summer is upon us I'm thinking about the AC thing too. I don't have the time or patience to jack around with tearing out the dash and all that.
vintage air is nice, but I just looked at some stuff from carrier. I figure buying the external AC unit that sits on the top. The...
I managed to jam a flat tip srewdriver in the there and push the mechanism upwards, this let me crank the window down and up. Needle nose pliers wouldnt work.
Later next week I`ll check the local junkyard for tailgate parts, maybe I can get an assembly and just use the old lock cylinder.

Anyone have fun in the snow with their truck?

Thanx for the info. What kept killing your plugs? I have a set of plugs from advanced auto parts, they looked them up under standard chevy parts for a 6.2 diesel, are they the right ones or do I need to get special frigin plugs too :eyes:
Whats the cheat all about for switching the electrical from 24v to 12v? I hear read somewhere its a simple crossing of a wire, but doing so will put a strain on the front batter?
Heres why I ask. I would like to install some stuff in the truck, radio, cb, other little nick-nacks and what-not...
