I don't have pics of the 1008 but it is laying on it's frame with no front clip and no axles:twisted: That is a pic of the 86 that has the 1008 drivetrain. I think I will paint those wheels flat black now:idea:
I won it yesterday of gov liquidation:-D Filled out the EUC this morning and faxed it in so we will see how long that takes:cry: I bougt a m1008 back in Feb but I ended up putting the axles under my 86 1/2ton truck but it is too nice to take out on the trails so say hello to my new trail...
I talked to the gm dealer yesterday and he said the civilian trucks had them under theirs so I figured these should also. My brothers 1008 has them under his also and they are pretty thin and hard to see. I am glad the truck runs also since I was about to part it out
Thanks for the help guys.
Well put some plastic washers under the nuts and the problem went away and yes it does need them of it will gound out on the cover. My brother got in the truck and warmed up the glow plugs and she fired right up for probably the first time in 5 years and purrs like a kitten.
Thanks
there shouldnt need to be any spacers/insulators added. If you look at the engine manual that you just downloaded ;) [thumbzup] it will have a exploded view of the injector pump itself.
Guys see my injector pump wire thread. I have narrowed the blowing fuses to the green wires that attach to the injector pump and the pink wire smoked the termilnal it is attached to. I wasn't sure the pink wire wasn't the cause so I cut it and powered it form the hot post on the front battery...
Being trying to figure out the wiring problems on my m1008 and the main wire that goes to the injector pump will smoke the terminal that it is attached to at the cover on the pump. The fast idle wire also blow the fuse when they are hooked up. Any ideas?????
Thanks In advance
I recently bought a m1008 none running. It was missing the pass inner fender, drivers alt., guage cluster and steering column. Also noticed that a few wire had been cut from the distribution block on the fire wall and one had been butt connected with a new fuseible link. Inside the cab there is...
My m1008 is missing the one closest to the column so I might as well try to find both. I take it the head lights don't work without them :x
Thanks Guys
First of all I want to say hello form Alabama and this looks like a great site with some great info. Me and my brother both bought a m1008 and we both need a guage cluster since ours are missing. Anyone have any laying around?
Thanks, Kade
