my only experience with blow by is with my unit. amazing how a nearly invisible oil mist looks like a major oil leak after a couple hours of run time. funny how the battery was clean but sat in a puddle of oil. check your oil level, I found that filling to the max exacerbated the problem
be careful to remove all shop rags, paper towels etc. my mistake was leaving a small rag just outside the open door to the engine compartment. when I started the unit the fan sucked it in and it got caught in and shredded the fan belt. good luck on finding the leak

i read many posts of gens running way over 100% of their rated load in an attempt to cure wet stacking issues. the electrical end is protected by overload protection but not so for the diesel. can you break the diesel end by this practice

everything looked fine. gen ran and held a 100% load for 2 hours. so I changed the oil, used 5w40 as if is cold here in virginia. ran the engine with new oil and decided to check for blow by by removing the oil dipstick. mist and oil spray came out of the tube. I had done this check before...
thanks, took temp readings on the exhaust manifolds. only 1 or 2 degrees different. I guess everything is in order. Will start to look elsewhere to find whats causing the vibrations
