    Custom Oil Cooler lines...pics...info?

I might go down to Summit Racing this weekend and see what I can come up with. I've been looking online and I can't find a fitting to go from the stainless braid hose AN fitting to the female end of the aluminum lines. All in all the whole AN thing isn't that confusing once you get your hands on...

    Custom Oil Cooler lines...pics...info?

Has anybody had any success using AN fittings to make oil lines for their truck? I'm looking at making a stainless braided line from the block up to the aluminum lines that go across the backside of the radiator. I don't know much about them so if someone would like to enlighten me I would...

That's a really nice looking truck. I'm doing the same black and green color scheme on my M1009. Can we see some under side pictures?

    Electrical soldering/connections basics.

While I agree 100% that soldering is preferred over solder less connectors, I've used self sealing butt connectors to repair simple things such as a new light socket pigtails with great success. As mentioned before it comes down to the quality of the crimp. Don't use the crappy crimped built...

Looking for recommendations on Injection Pump rebuild in the Ft. Worth area

Not to hijack the thread but does Diesel Care just do a seal kit for $275 or actually put new parts in and test the pump to make sure everything is A1?

    High idle solenoid acting up?

The sensor on the drivers side is for the glow plugs not the cold advance solenoid as stated above. They don't need to be replaced together, they are two different systems. The cold advance switch is closed when cold and open when hot, I believe it opens at 90 some degrees IIRC If your motor is...

    High idle solenoid acting up?

The switch is on the passenger side of the motor all the way in the back towards the fire wall. It has two wires coming off it.

HVLP tip size for Rapco paints

Thanks for the replays guys, I appreciate the feedback. All your trucks look great. I think I'm just going to wing it and shoot a few test panels with a 1.3 tip and see what happens! It sounds like it should work just fine!

HVLP tip size for Rapco paints

Thanks for the help guys, like I said the gun comes with a 1.3 tip, I'll pick up a 1.7 also and experiment.

HVLP tip size for Rapco paints

So I'm looking at buying a paint gun to paint the bed of my M1009 and some other small parts. I'll be shooting Rapco 383 green CARC substitute cut 4-1 with Xylene per Rapco's specs. Ive done a little painting here and there but never really had to set up a spray gun. The gun I'm looking at...

m1008 6.2L fuel pump removal/conversion to elect fuel pump

I can not say with 100% certainty that it won't cause damage if left in. I simply don't know. Never tried it. I can say the rod points up towards the cam shaft. I don't have a photo of a 6.2L diesel but I found this one on Google of another motor. It's about the same. If it was my truck, I'd...

m1008 6.2L fuel pump removal/conversion to elect fuel pump

I'm pretty sure your referring to the fuel pump push rod. Did you stick your finger up in the block and feel around for it? They usually fall right out.

    My M1009, what to do...

I realize laws vary from state to state but how would someone handle swapping a body from one truck to another?

    My M1009, what to do...

If you can weld I'd cut out and replace panels as needed.
