Sounds like a sad case of price gouging due to the circumstances. That guy would probably try to get the same rate hauling a box truck full of bottled water into that area.
There should be someone around here that knows a little bit about HOW MANY AMPS...
Maybe he's busy sitting in his lazy boy with a plunger stuck to the floor watch how to shift video's?
Yep, once I did a search I see how common these are. I cant believe Ive never run across one before. Also thinking of putting one on my Powerstroke, so I can use one of the batteries to back up my house battery on the camper.
Will do! This is a BIG plow with massive, angle cylinders. The lift cylinder is a lot smaller, but I think I should be able to regulate the speed with throttle and maybe a little finesse of the spool.
I hope to get back on this in a few months. Looks like farmerboywyotech might get to do some...
Although a bit pricey, they also make some cool looking cable operated, remote joysick controls for these valves.
I'm not sure if these are the best prices, just the first search that popped up for me.
I may try these on a two spool, setup the same as your doing, if I ever get my snowplow...
Yep, it's quite the pile! Most times a blessing, sometimes a curse.
Those are the same series valves I have, but unfortunately, no 3-spools.
Yes, the new valve needs its own tank return as well, for the power beyond function.
Other than the few bugs, how are the compressors working out, are you happy with their performance? What would you estimate their typical run time is when they cycle on?
Keep up the great work and informative threads!
If your vents are not blocked and you run them up high, your components should not draw a vacuum, however the pressure differential from them being submerged, will push water and possibly mud past the seals.
When you run a motor with water in the oil, the two mix, and closely resemble chocolate...
So, I tried about a dozen different regulators from air, oxygen, acetylene, Co2 to propane, just blowing through them, they all seemed to flow almost as well backwards. I however did not hit them hard with compressed air, as I'm not sure if it would possibly damage them.
I may need to redo my...
It is an open centered hydraulic system, but the winch control valve has a "motor spool", A&B ports are open to the tank when the valve is centered/in neutral.
I personally think your looking at an overly complicated solution to your problem, but hey I'm the king of overly complicated, IF it...
Ok, gotcha. Just as long as the regulators will allow the air to quickly bleed back through them when dumping the air pressure off the lines once the desired pressure is reached?
