Operation: Gertrude. Kendelrios M715 restoration thread

Those holes in the tailgate are for the stock rear reflectors. They should be the same military standard ones in red that are on the rear sides of the bed corner.

Operation: Gertrude. Kendelrios M715 restoration thread

The joy of being a tall guy, with my seat moved back 4", it is just the right height for me to not bang my elbow on it when driving. Getting in and out with the soft top frame mounted on the other hand leaves me with knots on top of my dome. I think that's one of the main reasons I run it...

Operation: Gertrude. Kendelrios M715 restoration thread

Yep I think the lollipop lights were more a fire dept,/ forestry thing as it was an easy way to add 12v turn signals to these trucks. And that spot on the fenders make it about the easiest place to put them and get to them, I imagine that's why when the military added the marker light to them...

Yep they were added at one point to vehicles in Europe. Here a pic I have of one that was just restored back to it's original 7th Army Masster Camo.

Definitely looks like there are some good salvageable parts left on it. Soft top frame, brushguard, front fender don't look too bad and it would be a holy grail type of find if it has the tailgate still with it. You could probably sell the tailgate for enough to fund most of your work on the...

Operation: Gertrude. Kendelrios M715 restoration thread

Like I mentioned on your facebook post, once you get the C channel the top should fit really nicely. But now looking at larger pics on the computer, I see it is missing the windshield stand-off brackets as well. The good news is that they are the same as M38a1 Jeeps and are fairly cheap to...

New to the family.....M715! New pics and updates! Now finally finished!

Yep, been driving my M715 since 2004 without the fan shroud and stock fan and have never had the water temp get above 190 even in slow moving parades where there is not much airflow. Luckily both my M725 Ambulances have complete shrouds, but I'm super careful around them because I know they are...

    Original blinkers and headlight questions

Yes, originally, they had the small old style cat-eye marker lights. They have been getting harder to find, but they are the same as the M37 and original M35's so that helps broaden the search. They look like this, Marker Light. The stand-off bracket is unique to the M715 series of truck, but...
