This has been mentioned in a lot of other threads, but always closely inspect the entire braking system, particularly if you're buying from GL. The trucks sit for quite some time before and after the auction. Leaking wheel cylinders, low master cylinder, soft pedal, etc = trouble when you're in...
Smart of me to ask for an ID with no pics. :cookoo: Sorry, no coffee yet this morning.......here's the link:
1978 DODGE D200 POWER WAGON 4WD 31,000.miles
I came across what might be an M880 with a service/utility bed. The seller claims that it has 31k original miles, was used on a military base, and has the "military ID plate" on the dash. I might go see it but don't know much about the M880 - did any of them come with a service bed originally?

Also, oil was at the full mark on...
Thanks, I forgot to mention that in the post. It's been pretty cold here (teens and single digits), so I'm hoping that's the case. I'm running straight diesel, a mix of who-knows-what from when it was sitting and 15 gallons or so of fresh.
It looks like I'm about to jump in and get some firsthand education on deuce mechanicals.
I took it out to get some feed/hay and it ran perfectly, no problems at all. I was home for about an hour when a neighbor came by to see it, and I fired it up. It started and ran perfectly, then shut down...
