    A couple of M1009 questions --

Thanks for the input. I'll give the gear a try tomorrow evening. The odo is out as well, so you're probably right. I'll see how the winter goes before I add a block heater. I just wondered what others were running. I've had a couple of other civilian 6.2s and they usually did fine.

    A couple of M1009 questions --

I've been through several threads for info and wondered if anyone has an opinion/advice to share - the speedometer is out on my M1009, and I figure it pretty much has to be either the cable or the plastic gear. I just got it yesterday so I don't know how it was acting before it quit (I'm...

    Finally own some green iron!

Thanks - I was looking at a deuce late last year and came across SS then. The deuce was sold but I definitely have the MV disease.

    Finally own some green iron!

Well, I finally have an MV to call my own....I found a 1985 M1009 while driving around for work. I wasn't really looking for anything but the deal was too good to pass up. It's all stock with a very strong 6.2L/TH400 (87k) and a solid body. It's not perfect, but it's loud, green, and all mine...

    Which Deuce???

I just heard back from the seller of the 70 - both trucks do have the air shift transfer case. However, the 70 is showing over 60k and just under 1900 hours. I haven't seen it in person yet, so I wanted a picture of the odo and hour meter. Also, the 70 leaks air when the transfer case is...

    Which Deuce???

Thanks for the input, that's pretty much what I was thinking.

    Which Deuce???

Ok, time to ask the experts: I thought I had my Deuce all picked out (72 M35A2, no heat, no turbo. soft top, no winch). Now I've come across another one and wondered what you all thought. The new candidate is a 70 with cab heat and is a C Whistler. I haven't seen it in person yet but will try...

    General deuce questions

Thanks for the insight - I sold my 72 Chevelle earlier this year so I'm very familiar with money pits in general. I may as well try a 6x6 money pit, never done that before :-D

    General deuce questions

I'm a new member here who is about ready to buy a 72 M35A2. Could someone give me an idea on what to expect in terms of cost/availability of parts and service? Is there anything to look for that signals a complete money pit? I know my way around mechanically but have never messed around with a...

    New here, from Centerburg, Ohio

Thanks for the welcome - Good to hear from everyone! I've been to Haspin twice to run quads/Jeeps, etc and dream of the day I can take a deuce there. I'll definitely keep an eye out for that thread. It might be a little slow getting there, but it'll be worth it! Any Ohio meets would be a blast...

    New here, from Centerburg, Ohio

Hello to everyone - I'm new to the forum and have really been impressed by all of the information that I've found so far. I'm not an owner yet, but am very close to buying a 72 M35A2 - non-turbo/no heat but a great running and driving truck. I my wind up living in it, but I've always wanted one...
