we were just talking about using a M101 just like that camper setup but i was still leaning toward a small travel trailer. A warm soft bed is great but a warm soft bed, stove, heater, fridge, and bathroom is even better
the raptor is a 2 part coating. The polymer and tinting and then a hardener. Much better system than the hurculiner or duplicolor but almost twice the price.
Ive had several CUCV's that had the same thing most likely if you trace the wire out it goes to a cut wire that used to power a convoy light, cigarette lighter, ect that was cut out years ago and had the power wire pulled out of the fuse panel.
well the firearm/hunting thing being out for the convoy is a bummer but not a deal breaker... Im a big boy and am not planning on taking my toys and going elsewhere because things arent working out like I want them too, its not my party as an invitee Ill follow the rules, besides nobody said...
honestly when i upgraded to 395 tires the steering became much easier. I have no idea why but it is half as hard to turn now. If your going to spend some money get some more road speed and better traction while your at it.
welcome to the site.
A M1009 is a great place to start with MV's. The elctrical system is a bear to work with though. I have bought a couple M1009's from Ft Knox and they seem to be in better than average overall.
yeah mine is really screwy. It still works kinda but i have to lower the tailgate and then roll the window up slightly close the window then pull up on the window on the edges as i roll it up to make it work.
What is the going rate for a junk yard electric conversion
as far as the trailer goes just go to Uhaul and get a car hauler. It cost a hundred dollars and you turn it back in to the nearest dealer not even the one you got it from. I drove the truck 2.5 hours to Redstone and rented a trailer there. Hooked up got on base picked up my running M1009 and...
compairing used car salesmen to Government Liquidation does a disservice to used car salesmen everywhere. The piddley crap a car salesman can get away with is nothing compared to the master. The hurrdles you have to go through to get even a minor problem resolved is just awful.
The Raptor bedliner is almost exactly the same as Rhino line or Linex. It is a professional finish. I learned about it from a Bodyshop guy. The stuff isnt as forgiving as Hurculiner though but easily done at home. Enough to do the outside of a M715 and the interior and bed is around 175.00 dollars
on the pintel if you go to Harbor freight in Jackson they have the Combo Pintel hitch/ 2" ball mounts for 38.00 the same hitch at tractor supply is around 99.00.
They also match up with the holes on the CUCV stock pintel mount
Ive used Raptor and Hurculiner. The raptor I apply with a roller but dries nice and smooth while the herculiner has a harsh texture. The Raptor is available tintable or black and the Herculiner is just Black from what i can tell. The pics I am posting are from Herculiner on the M105 and the M35...
the M915 isnt a 6x6 it has a unpowered front axle. The m916 is a 6x6 but is much much bigger. Larger engine, Cat semi-automatic or allison automatic transmission, larger payload, and rear mounted 45,000 lbs winch
a few members have taken M916 tractors and super singled them with 395's and i...
I would go ahead an LMC it. Would be a shame to have paid to put on a quarter panel that is already kinda rusty/dented. Start fresh and get it done right. as far as painting. Ive painted m1009's tan, green, and camo. I prefer straight green. The tan is nice but and oil on your hands or where you...
My grandfather has been hunting and fishing in Canada for the last 40 years most recently four months ago. He has always brought his own firearms. He has driven across the border every time its really not a big deal. They are Canadians not Nazis and a large part of the economy in that area are...
