Glad hand leak at rear of m1088-check valve replace valve or whole unit?

Just to clarify, do you mean that it is not likely a faulty gladhands vent?

Glad hand leak at rear of m1088-check valve replace valve or whole unit?

Hmmm let me check that. No that does not appear to be the issue. I spoke with Haldex and they do not sell military gladhands to the public. The check valve is unusual. Maybe to prevent water ingress? Does the air vent open at an overpressure, or open at at low pressure to release moisture or...

Glad hand leak at rear of m1088-check valve replace valve or whole unit?

Hi Guys! Well I went out to adjust the lash on the front hubs, only to find another issue. On the passenger side rear glad hands, air is rushing out of what I believe to be a check valve. 1. Should I just replace the whole unit (rubber grommet at seal has seen better days) 2. Are these...

If you want a thorough education on Expedition Vehicles, look to the Russians. View all of the videos on them on Youtube "Siberia Arctic Expedition 2015" These guys are amazing, They use MAN trucks. In Siberia the weather is torture. Watch them rebuild a compressor on the fly. There is no...

What year FMTV to purchase? A0/A1/A1R?

I have been reading through this thread. I think the LMTV is for a very handy and patient owner. Everything rubber and plastic is going to fail. These are maintenance intense vehicles. That being said, it won't kill you nor typically kill your bank account if you stay right on top of the...

Get a winch, even if it's the HF 18,000 lb one 6. Bring h2o to rinse off muddy parts 7. Check the depth of what you are about...

Cab air spring new replacement part number & source

Just a side note to this thread. The air shocks will lose some air when they are operating normally. It is not an air tight fit. I noticed that the first shock I opened up had anti-seize applied to the base of the metal collar on the bag and the bottom of the shock. This might increase the...
