2.5 inches is to small to notice axle hop. i had blocks on my suburban and i had a 350 in it and i had axle wrap when ever i wheeled it. it had 6 inch superlift springs and 5 inch blocks in the back. on 37 inch tall tires.
now on my M1008 I have stock rear springs thinned out with ORD shackle...
But he might want to replace the old springs anyways. I would still do a shackle flip with new stock springs or just new rear springs with the stock hanger location.
I like superlift springs all shocks from the lift kit company's are the same. if you want better shocks you need to spend a little more. bds has free shipping to a bds vendor and life time warranty on springs and parts just not shocks.
We started about 9 AM and finished about 4 30. We used a gallon and a quarter of paint. we also painted the Bed parts for the M1028 shelter carrier hold downs.
SO I met Kurt at his house and we went over to a paint shop he had rented for the day to paint the truck. First we finished sanding the primer and then wiped the truck down with paint thinner and moved the truck to the booth. Then we masked off the windows and tires and got to painting.

its got a dana 60! and no smog in cali. i hate the diesel, 454 some day. Its almost to the point where my M1008 is no longer daily driver easy. But I still love my truck I do want a M1009 for a DD with a SBC. I just wish they put NP205's in them instead of NP208( crappy )
