No clue, Doghead. D motor new in 89 and I think it has had head work because the heads are painted black, while the rest of the engine are green.

    Whistler turbo vs. Non-whistler turbo

Warthog, I have a pyro....that has nothing to do with the amount of boost....you can have 3lbs of boost and 1400 degrees and melt the pistons. You can have 25 lbs of boost and 1000egt's like my cummins and not worry. I want to know how much boost a Deuce's head gaskets can take.

    Whistler turbo vs. Non-whistler turbo

92RT-TT, what is the part number for a rebuld kit for the 3LJ319? I have two and one needs rebuilt. Also, I have swapped turbos back and forth on my deuce ( I have a "D" and a "C") and have noticed that they both produce 12 lbs of boost. The "C" turbo builds that boost much quicker I have...

how to turn up fuel...in pictures?

How come you guys have to turn screws on your LDT motors to get more power?:cookoo: Have you not heard of the "50 cent trick"? When I was in the Army and had a Deuce as my daily driver, us mechanics used to give them the 50 cent trick. It is very simple to do and you dont have to risk turning...

The First Modification To Your Deuce

They dont move at all. They do recline, but in the deuce it is like one notch and thats it. I bought the Deuce to keep for a while, so I set it up for me. I mounted the passenger seat a bit more forward, so the seat reclines a couple of notches (so the lil woman will be comfy)

The First Modification To Your Deuce

Seats were my first mod. I even was able to use the factory threaded hole/nuts. The coolest part was the military seatbelts plugged right in to the receptical on the seats! Notice how they tilt forward, making it easy to put stuff behind seats. They also have the cool arm rests. They are leather...

    2009 vin info thread

What does that mean exactly? My insurance company called me yesterday and told me they had an issue with the vin too. I read it off of the title and off the vin plate. Wonder what the heck is going on. Maybe it was a super secret squirrel CIA vehicle.....

    Cucv door markings

What about door markings on the inside?? Hi, Noob here again. My 1031 has this number stenciled on the inner door panels and written on all the army paperwork that came with it. "NG1JZQ" The "1" could be an "I" also. I was wondering if this was a code that might lead me to an idea what base the...

    New Guy

Hi everyone! Noob here. I just bought a 1986 M1031 today. I have a couple of questions. First, is this truck worth more with the big box on the back? Reason I am asking, I would like to put a regular pick up bed on the back. Is this a no-no in the eyes of the collector types? Secondly, this...
