Be very sure that the locking ring is fully seated prior to putting any air in the tire!
If the tire is without any air pressure, it is possible for the ring to become unseated. If so, the ring/rim/tire assembly will come apart catastrophically when air pressure is applied.
There is no retainer on the pump holding the seal in place. It is simply a press fit.
As to the coupler, I have no idea. Perhaps a pump shop (most large cities have a few pump shops).

I would bring an extra 5 gallons of fuel, there are gas stations just a few miles down the road as you are heading back to Jeff City.

I have been lucky in that I have only had to deal with one GL personnel that I would consider a "ding-dong". But then again, I don't plan on getting anything else from MI anyway.

If you can "get them both for a song" but you don't need anymore projects, why not buy and resell? It would stink to see them get parted out any more than they already have been.
