Going to flush and replace the coolant in my M1009. Always used regular green before. Wondering what type of antifreeze you guys have used, what gives the longest corrosion protection.
There are also 2 shorter rods that go from the frame where the motor mounts are to the bottom of the bellhousing. The ones I found at a wrecker were too long, so they were cut and welded to the proper length. Pics here ...
I used Colour Your Hippo tintable Sprayable Bedliner, went on quite thick. Used Green but as the product comes with a yellowish hue, it would be good to add some black.
When I got my M1009, mouse turds were coming out of the heater box when I hit it with a vacuum. Took it apart, there was a nest with a dead mouse jammed right where the blend door closes. The rear seat also had scores of turds dropping out of it and smelled of urine. Had to throw it away and...
Have seen pics of guys fuse boxes, mine is the same but looking at the TM's it shows something different. The slot to the left of the 25 Amp wiper fuse has script that says "MKR/IP 20 ", seems we all have a 20 Amp fuse there. In the TM's it shows this slot as #16 5 Amp Courtesy light fuse. Is...
Finally got around to doing the pump swap. Tool I bought worked for removing pulleys, the one for installing, not so much. I'm 1/16" short of having it pressed on flush. Bolt of tool is severely bent, don't want to continue and break it. Obviously its a cheap inferior grade bolt and couldn't...
I had a similar leak issue with the aluminum cross over pipe, new gaskets and perma-tex didn't work. Took it off again and gave it a close inspection. Hairline crack found in mounting flange. It had been on the motor, leak-free for 5 years previously.
Its not possible to over tighten the fuel cap. Could be the vacuum in tank is sucking air into the fuel system. My leak was the fuel pressure sensor in filter base, there was no visible fuel coming out. Next time it's running, crack the cap to release vacuum when you've shut down for the day. If...
You indeed are confused. You speak of Dorman as if its a reputable local manufacturer. Why not call and tell them a part doesn't fit. Ha! Its just an english sounding name brand. All their stuff is cheap garbage made in China with terrible tolerances and poor fitment. Stay away from anything...
Yes..the drive shafts are balanced, meaning it doesn't matter which way its put back in, same position or 180 degrees, no difference. That's an old wives tale.
Saw a few drips on driveway, checked underneath, bottom lip of power steering pump was wet. Couldn't really see where it came from, thinking it might be the inside, forward face, where shaft attaches to pulley. All lines are tight and dry. Is this a normal wear item. Take the unit off and...
