Get a hvlp sprayer or an airless sprayer like a Titan or graco. You will have to thin the carc regardless. Look on your local Craigslist for a cheap used sprayer if your not going to use it much
Well I had a little time to mess with the latches today. 86hmmwv, you are right about the holes being slightly off. Two of them will line up but the other two will have to be enlarged 1/16" or so. I went and bought (4) 1/4"x2" SS threaded eyebolts to try and make the latch work but it didn't...
I didn't get these from kascar. I wonder if kascar's look the same as mine on the back or if they have that little eyelet like the originals. Also if you look close at my pic, there is a threaded hole on the latch bar. Maybe there is a male threaded eyelet I could buy to Install there. Or maybe...
Well I got the southco latches and here is a pic of the back. I haven't had a chance to bring them to the hmmwv to see if I can make them work but I know they look a lot different than the ones on there. Has anyone installed latches like these ? If so, what did you have to do?
Go to eBay and search " hmmwv high back seat " . You can find them other places online for around $800 a set but will probably get it cheaper if you hunt on eBay. You will need to use 2 driver adjustable seat bases not commanders base sorry
That's an mrap seat. If you use an actual hmmwv high back seat with commanders base, you can buy all the mounting hardware and reinforcing plates from Lasmer industries. I have back problems also and the highback seat is very supportive and comfortable to me
Just saw that the h1 cap is $350! No way in **** would I pay that! Looks like I'll go with the hasp option or something similar and paint it black so it doesn't stand out and look completely jerry rigged
Because there are a lot of crappy people in the world haha. I read an old thread earlier where a fellow SS member had somebody put something in his tank and cause a lot of problems. Having the locking cap would be cheap insurance
