I ordered a 3.5K axle today with brakes. I am not building that heavy of a frame with 6 bolt 16" rims, and 31" tires. I also ordered the same dimentions as you. 3500lbs should be just fine. I 'am expecting the trailer with box to come in @ 800 lbs. 2700lb payload is plenty.

Is that axle 62" Hub to Hub. What wheight rating did you go with.?

Does anyone have torsion bar axles on their trailers. I have to order an axle tommorow.

If I can't find any in the next couple of weeks I think I 'am going to make some bows out og conduit and have the podwer coated.

Hey Joe, i missed one last night on eGay. I called GMA today and a brand spank'n new one is 230.5 There was one on Ebay Friday night for 150 new. thats gone go figure. I just have'nt seen many used ones around.

Well I got the stakes now. I would pay for bows just cut the ends off and I'll pay for shipping. I 'am sure they need new wood anyway. I really only need the corners.

Has anyone purchased a cover from GMA in the last year what were they running.?

They will fit the bill. I plan on getting them powder coated black and the bows may be wood (oak or Hickory) or matching powdercoat tube. Have'nt decided yet. The stake sides will be wood with clear poly. I can't wait to get the rest of the stuff ordered this week, axle, tires, the wheels are...

I guess I don't have to worry about making any stakes. There were some last night on ebay, won those puppies. Now I just have to manufacture some bows.

I am picking up my new M101A3 box next Tuesday from Alpha. They are nince to deal with. I went out to the yard , and Tom showed me all he had to offer to put together a trailer. He had some nice pickup trucks for sale too. Nice to deal with.

Are these Gl auction a real pain to deal with , about how long of a process is it. there are a a few nice looking trailers in the midwest on there. Unless one of you have one for sale I could recondition. Lots of really good Knowlege out here thanks guys.

Is it possible to find just a box off A M101 then I could make a lighter weight frame for it. My research has lead me to believe the H3 is a little under-power for a M101.
