Here they are installed... with the blocks under the rear body mount brackets..also look at how the back window glass is resting on the backhoe lock assy.. even with the blocks installed..when the front of the body is lifted to install the tilt brackets, the back glass is pushing hard on the...

Looks like about 120mm or 4 7/8" center to center.... Dave

Another few pics of getting the backhoe lifted enough to clear the fops and to tilt the cab.. rigged up an old car lift pump and adapted the hose down to a #4 male flare fitting to hook to the lift cylinder hose.. you have to run the pump and hold the lift lever down at the same time.. a 60" 4x4...

I guess it was just a matter of good timing... I was cruising thru the site actually looking for cab tilt tools and came across it.. took a day or so before I decided to take it.. didn't know it was the only one.. he might have saved another one for their tool rent-out program.. Dave

Well, don't forget that if the engine is running backwards, exhaust will be coming out of the intake and a guy could get a badly burned hand real quick.. the exhaust pipe will be the intake, so that would be the one to block off.. I saw a red shop rag go thru an engine once.. came out the other...

The see toolkit that I was referring to was the one that Scott at EI had for sale.. it has essential tools for servicing see's.. like the big jack for removing the front loader, see-specific cab tilt brackets, stuff like that.. and I always understood the Hood is on the outside and the engine...

I remember older mercedes passenger car engines doing that.. when it happened, the engine would "run away" because the injection pump governor could not control the speed in that condition.. really scary.. the only way to kill it would be to drop it in gear and dump the clutch with brakes on...

And aonther thing, when ever you see any of the SEE's at auction, where the heck are all the hoods?? They must be laying in a big pile someplace.. My truck needs one, if anybody has a source.. Thanks, Dave

Hi guys, I'm back... the machine belongs to me now... I'm sure now that it has a broken piston. When slow turning the crank back and forth. I can hear the rod fall against the cylinder wall..:x The head and oil pan will need to come off at least.. Funny how the manuals don't say anything about...

Owner says it has good oil pressure and engine does not have a miss... I'm trying to do this from Oklahoma and the truck is in Florida... kind of a mess.. Dave

Thanks for the reply, the more I think about it, it has to be a bent rod slowly eating the piston away.. :( If I buy it anyway.. at the right price.. can the head and the oil pan be pulled in-place without tilting the cab or is it a bigger job..? It only has a jackhammer attachment too... could...

Hi guys, looking for some help here... looking at buying one of these vehicles but the owner says there is an engine knock and when turning over by hand he can feel something 'hit'.. he did have it running and it did make noise but the noise went away.. am I looking at bent rod or whar? Not sure...
