I just saw an article on a CAR site - saying how much better generators from car engines (gas) were so much better and more reliable and fuel efficient. Hard to find diesel , cant find anyone to work on the MEP generators, parts hard to find..... blatant diesel hatred!!!

@dependable - I was "really interested" in one of the 003a's .... I got the pair of 002a's for just over 1400 - one listed 2450 hrs, the other 48 - hopefully I will be able to take a day from work this week and run down there to get them. - good excuse to miss a day of work and drive the 923...

it's not too bad - i have a 1990 dont go to collettes in perryville - they tried to eff me over on the inspection. wanted to charge me for removing the whells to do the brake inspection. they wanted 250/ inspection plus 3-4 hr labor at 125$/hr because of the wheels.... chesapeake service center...

Should (HOPEFULLY) have mine tagged and on the road by then - missed the "historic" registration by 2 years.... (grrr) - waiting on an insurance quote from State Farm (my former BN Co is the agent...) or may go thru JC Taylor - they gave a reasonable quote.
