all of the gauges work minus the fuel lol… it sounded like a pressure pop and i havent had a chance to look at anything yet…. the temp was staying around 180-200
havent had a chance to really look but if it blew so sudden like that i dont think i would see water in the oil yet… not to mention it may have only blew into an oil galley and not in to a water galley… this would make since as to why all the smoke came out of the slobber tube
Im assuming i probably blew the head gasket…. i recently bought this truck and was just trying to move it to a new location about 30-40 miles away…. 10 min in to the drive it started losing power… i was told it did this before… i was also told to let it sit for 5 to 10 min and start moving...
anymore luck? or have you not done anymore work on it… i just read the whole thread post by post… i sure hope i dont have to change my HH… im having starting issues as well… but i also noticed that im getting brownish/white smoke all the time :? but i havent really gottne to drive it much either...
pretty sure this was a GL sold truck
AM General Corp.

is there any way to find the original bumper numbers? i would really like to paint them back on for authenticity
Thanks, Kyle Keith

soooo i changed the primary filter and bled the system like everyone said got it started and continuously running and idling ok but it still is bellowing plenty of white smoke and it has a pretty bad throttle lag… is that normal?… i also noticed the the rpms i think are runnin a little high at...
awesome man! well let me know if you ever do go someplace to go wheeling because i would love to go and having 2 deuces around would be way better if one gets stuck... i think thats been my main concern when wheeling... who heck is gonna get me out once im in?!?! lol
awesome man looks like a good truck!...i considered goin up and lookin at it but it dissapeared before i got a chance... you lookin to do any off roading in it? other than your ranch?... other than mudfest i would like to find some places to take it
We drained about 5 gallons out until empty and then only had about 3 fresh gallons left after cleaning the secondary fuel canisters and refilling them before installing... i figured it prolly needs more fuel than that and ill be putting the primary replacement in today as well... then ill cross...
oh yeah and is the primary fuel filter under the alt the same filter size as the secondary filters? we changed the secondary and final filters but primary replacement looks small compared to the secondaries but the canister for the primary looks the same size as the secondaries
so we got the deuce cranked up today afters its sat for a year… we just replaced the fuel filters before doing so and put fresh fuel in the truck. it starts with a little starting fluid and we got it to stay running while high idling but as soon as we let off it dies immediately and wont restart...
