    M101 Leaf Springs

Check the intended M101/a1 tow vehicle - the Dodge M37. My Dodge M37 and M101 springs are the same width - not sure on matching length - but they look to be ~ the same length as the rear Dodge springs. I can check over the weekend if interested.

    M101 Sideboard Lumber

White oak is great too. However, it can be hard to find sometimes. Red oak has an open end grain structure that may suck up water by capillary action, unlike white oak. White oak will withstand tremendous exposure/weathering - the stuff on my M37 lasted 50 years. It was also used on the WWII...

Maybe if I post a reply, I can stop being required to come to this posting when I sign in. And yes, the site looks great! Thanks.

    318 swap

The 318 is ultra dependable and stands massive rpms. It is a 340 with a smaller bore. Variations have been used from 1963 to the present. Search on the 318/360 M37 swap - it has been well documented on the web. Internal balancing makes it easy to swap a 318, unlike my 360 - which required a...

    Machine gun ring on WC

There is a WWII photos of a WC51 with a M50 ring mount (WC62/63) in the ETO somewhere on the web. I saw it last year. It definitely was done in the field as ring mounts were for the 1.5 ton Dodges not the 3/4 ton models. The WC51/52 should have a M24A1 or A2 version. You can easily modify a...

    M37 transfer case

NP201 is just like the NP200 except no e-brake oputput. It still has the offset rear output. Most parts interchange between the 2 models. My NP 200 rebuild kit came in a NP201 box - was missing a few bearings, but otherwise was fine. The NP201 was common on 1950's dodge 4x4s - but not power...

OFFICIAL 08' RAUSCH CREEK SIGNUP THREAD!!

Murphy Due to an incident at school, I have to go to a parent-teacher meeting tomorrow morning. I will be missing the convoy as a result. I will drive up Sat morning instead. Where to link up at RC and how? Thanks.

OFFICIAL RC RALLY 08' CONVOY THREAD

Murphy struck - I have to go to a parent-teacher meeting tomorrow morning due to my son possibly bullying a classmate. He asked him a "socially inappropriate question" by asking if the new kid in his 3rd grade class was literate. Going to the meeting also makes it tough to call off my son as...

    M37 hub swap

Liability - not too many folk will try it out of fear of something going wrong ($$$$$$). Anything is possible with the proper tooling, machining, and money. Good luck.

OFFICIAL RC RALLY 08' CONVOY THREAD

Truck is progressing steadily While I am getting run down from the late night repairs (rear end swap/ transfer case rebuild), the M37 is looking good to go. I will meet up at Exit 77. BTW: the world's largest annual pre-1949 car show is taking place in Hershey this weekend. (Exit 77 is rt 39...

OFFICIAL 08' RAUSCH CREEK SIGNUP THREAD!!

Still at it . . .. Put the t/c together over the weekend - discovered the kit did not incl all the proper needle bearings. Couldn't find any locally and tried NP205 needle bearings, but they were too long - ordered the correct rollers with $43 overnight delivery :( ). Installed locking hubs...

OFFICIAL 08' RAUSCH CREEK SIGNUP THREAD!!

Accomodations . . . An open expanse of gravel for camping :? At least it will have good drainage if it rains! Figuring out a way to sleep in the puny M37 truck bed rather than the ground is sounding better and better. I might need to bring the M101A1 for storage or as a shelter if the wife...

OFFICIAL 08' RAUSCH CREEK SIGNUP THREAD!!

Time does fly by . . . Replaced the rear differential - only to have the new pinion seal leak at the outside (not yoke) edge! I pulled the t/c to do repairs - input shaft is bad and VPW is sending a replacement. 2 speed sliding gear (rides on input shaft) is also worn - so that was ordered...

Rome/Syracuse NY to Gilbert PA show?

Murphy strikes agin . . . Due to circumstances beyond my control (work/wife) - I can't make the Gilbert show now :(

    CJ10A Tug

It has been awhile .. . From what I recall, the CJ10 has a Cummings, AMC 727 torque command (Mopar 727 torqueflite) a/t, Dana 300 t/c, and huge rears that are not geared for realistic use. The only trail version I ever saw was a CJ8 Scrambler that had the CJ10 cab and diesel engine swapped...
