Ah ha! well I also realized I'd been goofing up, this is a dual circuit model but only has the 2 remote drains, which means I haven't been emptying the other one. Thankfully it was bone dry when I opened it up to vent last night.
I checked with the NAPA in Woodinville and Mill Creek about...
Yeah its not a cheap switch, actually planning on the 200 amp service rated generac ats , $650 , and then ill add modules for my heat pump, water heater, and well. Theres enough juice to run them but not to handle the surge if they all start at once.
Ill actually use the ATS manually until...
3600 and then GP fees and WA state tax.. those added up to basically another 20%
Still cheaper than what I could find online and definitely cheaper than the LP/NG aircooled units I find at HomeDepot or local installers.
My dad is an electrician so next month he'll help me wire it correctly...
Picked this up a few weeks ago and just starting to mess with it.
Good news is the local GP guys were using it to power their shop trailer... I think that's good news at least?
Checked fluid levels yesterday and fired it up to warm up a bit, was planning on changing the oil and I like it...
Installed my Pioneer tool rack last night. Now I've got to find the thread that someone wrote on the available tools to go on it.
Also does anyone have the NSN for the remote air tank drains in this photo? I like them a lot but can't find a part # for repairs in the future.
I think he's considering at least partial restoration now that I've brought it up. If I lived in southwestern KS still, I'd get started on it. I'll keep working him to join the site and start restoring!
Dang Rusty, that's a lot of cabinents!
I wouldn't have bid on them if they said Scrap or any it's synonyms. In fact there wasn't a description other than "Lot of (4) Michelin XZL 12.00R20 Tires". I did ask the guys in the yard what they'd looked at and they specifically told me they'd checked...
I decided to bite the bullet today and do the same, bought the setup from Wolverine and it's in the mail tomorrow. Now I've got to try to return this non-working one I got from the auction site.
Welcome to the club! My deuce isn't ready to help recover yet but I'm sorta on the way, I live near Maltby, so if you need any assistance while en route, let me know.
I wont 2 lots of 4 each tires 2 on Aug 24. Had some scheduling issues with the yard picking up the tires and so wasn't able to get them until Friday 9/2.
Took a cursory look at the yard on a gloomy Seattle day and loaded them up in the Deuce bed and headed home. As I was unloading them at...
Turns out my "working" alternator from Epay; doesn't. Thanks for the link PJWest, I'm heavily considering converting to a civi alternator now. I think the new Alternator is a 3002AC, but it's got a wire on it, 566 that I haven't found in the Duece TM's yet so it's probably off something else...
Know anyone local for powder coating?
I bought some of that 383 power coat in the Classified.
Don't have anything ready to coat yet, just starting to get my ducks in a row.
Been considering find/converting an old oven , lots of videos on YouTube about it. Mostly just need to buy a...
From what I can see on the data plate , 12-6-1940 , which might make it one of the earliest made. David Doyle's book notes they started being manufactured in early 1941
Yeah it looks like someone modified an International bed to fit, I'll keep digging, but even the winch frame looks the same design.. it's a crappy photo that I enlarged
