TACMED,
There are two hard tops that will fit the M37. The original was an Arctic Top with a sliding rear window. The second was a WWII CCKW hard top that has an oval rear window and was fitted with an adapter kit.
If you have access to a Deuce hard top and want to see if it...
M37 Sales Brochure
Gentlemen,
I picked up the sales brochure that ashrat is selling. It is a nice addition to the other manuals and information that we all seem to collect. 8)
If you own an M37 or an M37-B1, it is worth the asking price.
Boatcarpenter,
Thanks for the info! I will get an air ratchet and give it a try.
Steelsoldiers,
My compressor is oil free, and is designed for continues duty.
I'm still here, but have been sandbagging and not posting as much.
I will have some more time coming up, and I will be back to help...
I have a Bostitch 2 hp air compressor, 6 gallon tank, 135 psi, with 3.4 cfm@40 psi, and 2.7 cfm @90 psi.
I really like the portability of this compressor with it's carry handle.
Is this capable of running a 1/2 inch air ratchet?
I have been using the compressor mainly for airing up tires and...
M37-B1 Wiring
6X6pinz,
I just finished replacing the wiring harness on my 63' M37-B1.
I went with the harness from Vintage Wiring of Maine, and I am very pleased at the quality and attention to detail!
Take your time and double check every step and you will find it very rewarding.
It is a...
Look Again?
WillWagner,
Don't give up yet! If the body is good, and the drivetrain is all there, it still could be a good truck.
If you have the time to put it back together, take a hard look at what is there.
The body sheet metal is getting hard to find. They stopped making M37's in 1968...
Worth?
WillWagner,
That sounds like a parts truck to me! Offer less if you are really interested.
The M37 doesn't have a key, never did! There is a small lever on the dash that turns the juice on and then you step on a small pedal just above the gas pedal to start the truck. :driver:

Markings?
DR,
Thanks for the kind words!
I am waiting until I can re-paint before applying any additonal markings
Electrical upgrades are next on the list!
Gentlemen,
I just posted some new pictures of my 63' M37-B1 in the "Photo Gallery".
My photo album is way down towards the bottom, as it was one of the first posted! :driver:
Blackhawk
vbrescueman,
This was the first time I got see a Blackhawk up close and personel.
I was familiar with the Huey, but only saw Blackhawks at a distance flying overhead.
It is truly impressive when you get the 50 cent tour! [thumbzup]
Here are a couple of pictures that I took today at the Armed Forces Day celebration at the First Division Museum here in Illinois.
My local club, the Chicagoland Military Vehicle Club was asked to participate. We had 6 vehicles there and had a Blackhawk helicopter pay a visit for a couple of hours.
Rank!
Nickathome,
You are a lowly Private because you haven't posted enough to achieve a higher rank yet!
If you post all the time like our Desert Rat, you can become Emperor!
The location is right where it needs to be! [thumbzup]
