I was told by the GL site person at Ft. Meade that they had to pull the sale of the M818 they where selling due to a code change. May be the end of the M818 from surplus.
Thank you to all the offers for help and or advice its greatly appreciated. jwaller has done the recovery and will store my truck for a week or so until I can get it. Thanks again.
I'm unable to remove truck from Ft. Jackson as planned (family medical issues) and I'm looking for a place to have it move for a short period until I can get other transportation arranged for. Cambells Wrecking can move the truck but they have no place for storage. Any help would be greatly...
Wow, you got your hands full. Some nice looking trucks, any special plans for the 5-tons. I need to keep your post handy for the next time my superior says I'm insane.
The only regret I have about buying one is I had an opportunity to buy two:-D I now own five and "need" more. Each has some small practical use but mostly they are for fun, luckily I don't have to justify my toys.
I just added Insurance to one of my trucks today(State Farm) I never mentioned the word Military. Its a 1971 Jeep M35, they probably think its a Wrangler, but I'm covered for $190.00/6mths.
I'm looking for advice removing a truck (M35) from Ft. Jackson on the 16th of March. As they do not allow drive offs, I'm wondering how others have removed trucks they wanted to drive versus hauling. :?:
