Just trying to get an idea of the total picture.
1. How much upper body strength does he have?
2. Is he in a manual or power chair?
3. Hopefully he can safely transfer from a sling seat to the deuce seat.
4. DO NOT ATTEMPT TO LOAD HIM USING A RAMP. THIS IS VERY DANGEROUS AND COULD...
It's been many years since I even thought about lifting tires as big as you are talking about. It might be worth buying 2 or 3 small ATV electric winches to raise the axle and on your gin pole on the trailer. Work smarter not harder. All joking aside, using mechanical stuff to move heavy...
The problem I would expect with my gooseneck lowboy is width. In between the pipe rails is a hair under 7 ft. Might get by with removing outer duels but not sure. 14,000 limit on axles plus rated load on 1 ton truck (good ratings on all tires) should not be a problem.
OK, just my 2 cents worth. It may be a big difference in required paperwork if your truck is used IN your buisness rather than AS your business (such as hot shot delivery). I think that if you check prices on the liftgate you will find that a good trailer costs less than a used lift.

The biggest concern I had with speed in the duce was the guys in green sitting on the troop seats in back while holding loaded M-16's. Rockwells can take mucho horsepower without problems.
Did he tell you the body count in the truck when they fired off the claymores? The reason I ask is that it is just as deadly to be behind one (being C4 and all). there for sure wouldn't be much truck left.
Just my opinion.
Sorry Donnie, I was negligent in reading the board so I had no idea you were stranded that close to me. Of course, the only thing I have that you didn't bring is a 14,000 gooseneck. Good luck with the deuce. Jim
Someone correct me if I am wrong (getting old you know) but when I was in NAM (69-70) there were no "official specs for a gun truck". The ones I saw the most had one or two 50 cal guns but the individuals would mount anything they could scrounge, barter for, or steal to make their own gun truck.
