I just scheduled my pickup at Ft Knox. Talked to Joe Neal and I'm heading down the morning of March 6th.
In talking to Joe, who seems to be a really nice guy, they had to move my Deuce and they hopped in, started it up and drove it to Joe's area. I am pretty happy about that.
I will be taking...
I've had an outdoor vendor booth there for the last 5 or 6 years. I always take my M151 and this year I'll be taking the new Deuce.
It is a great weekend.
Also the Mid Ohio will be a couple months after that and I had a good time there too.
I got mine in the same sale, I'm coming down a week from Monday. We are planning on driving it home. Did you have someone pick it up from the GL yard for you?
Can't wait to get mine!!
Bob
Jollygreen,
I used to have an M38 and I can't remember what the difference was, but there is a distinct difference between civilian rims and military. If I can remember i will let you know.
I'm sure there is a current 38 owner out there that can help.
Bob
The Deuce was Lot Number 6900 in Sale # 3890.
I think everybodies computers were frozen around Knox today. 4 or 5 of them went for right around $1000.
Thanks in advance for posting the picture.
Bob
Interesting day on the GL. Learned a few weeks ago that you had to at least bid once on a vehicle in order to see the final price and to get it to stay on your watch list.
I've been interested in a Deuce for awhile after seeing some of them used during and after Hurricane Katrina by private...
