NAPA part numbers for front brake lines

I had a passenger's rubber brake line blow out and need to get a new one before next Friday. Anyone know offhand if Napa or CarQuest carry these brake lines, or anything similar?

    Engine swaps

To the best of my knowledge, all Chevy/GM engines have the same bolt pattern on the bellhousing, so virtually any GM engine would bolt up to the Hydramatic. Getting the torque convertor set up or getting the flexplate to bolt to the non-302 engine may be another story...

    M211 airpack questions

Mine also has the plug on the back, but it was gone-thru by Memphis equipment years ago. Probably an upgrade of some sorts. Have you contacted them to see if they have any units there? But judging by their price on a new centersection ($900), I think they believe that we MV-er's are millionaires.

    New intake/exhaust manifold = PITA

That's probably true. Might be the head, but if I'm gonna go thru the effort of removing the head and having it worked on, I'm just gonna jerk out the whole powerplant and tranny and repower it with a big block Ford. Might be the manifolds, but making one from steel might be a bit more elastic...

    New intake/exhaust manifold = PITA

Yea, I did it a little different each time, placing the sleeves either in the head or the manifold, and the last time, right before I put everything together the way I wanted it, I put the 3 sleeves to the grinder and just smoothed out the rough edges on all sides of the sleeves. I'll make a...

    New intake/exhaust manifold = PITA

I'm thinkin about fabricating an exhaust set from a sheet of 1/2" steel, and then some 16 or 20 ga. tubing to a collector to keep from dealing with the same cast iron problem as before. I figured this was just a way of buying some time before I had to go the custom-header route. I built a set...

    New intake/exhaust manifold = PITA

Got my new intake/exhaust manifolds from Alfa Heaven about a month ago for $165; not complaining about the price one bit. I am, howeber, complaining about the install. Good lord... Inspection of manifold after hearing louder than normal exhaust noise revealed a totally broken off flange on...

    m211 manual

RE: m211 manuals Oh my heavens! Thank you SO much for everything! I've been spending at least an hour going over that disk every night! I only stop because by that time my eyes feel like they're gonna fall out. Immensly helpful! If you want a few buck for shipping and production, I'd give...

M35 Parts truck or Ground Up Restoration

Is that used or new? The more I think about it, the more I love my round-nosed Jimmy. Used radiator for $150...

Are you wearing khaki pants and a dress shirt? You look so precious jumping into the deuce wearing business casual attire! ;)

    Cracked 302 exhaust manifold

Well, I got the manifolds off today. Took of the intake and exhaust together, along with the carb and about 10 inches of the tailpipe. Heavy bugger! Good thing I cut trees for a living and am used to lifting heavy stuff in peculiar positions. Decided to go ahead and just go with the stock...

    CCKW on Mythbusters

I especially liked it when they said 'yea, we've been working on this for 3 days, then you guys (the 'snowplow experts', probably just a couple MV collectors) come out and get it fixed in 45 minutes. In cases like this, it's just a matter of people being too smart for their own good.

    CCKW on Mythbusters

Anyone see the most recent Mythbusters? It was the whirlpool/snowplow one. The had a CCKW cnowplow that they were trying to get up to 70 mph in hope that the wind bubble in front of the plow would push a car off the road. Long story short, they had a bunch of problems even getting the heavy...

    Cracked 302 exhaust manifold

You know, my neighbor pulled a straight-6 out of a 71 Nova a couple years ago, and just set the engine aside, as he was transplanting a 472 into the car. What are the odds that the exhaust manifold from that car would fit the 302? Everywhere I look, there's stuff that mention the 235, 261, and...

Just curious: duals on the front?

Not for road-use, of course, but can duals be run on the front axle of the m135/211? I suppose it would help in an off-roading situation, and you'd have to use the Budd lugnuts. The the front axle can take another 2 tires on the front? Any pics of a dualled up M series on all three axles?

    Cracked 302 exhaust manifold

Do I have to use a nickel rod, or can I just use my regular rods, but just pre-heat the affected area? I was looking at alfaheaven, and they sell an intake/exhaust manifold set for $150. I may just go that route if it looks to be pretty bad.

    Cracked 302 exhaust manifold

If I do end up fabricating one, would you be interested in buying one?

    Cracked 302 exhaust manifold

Yea, I can actually fabricate my own from some DOM tubing from Summit, but figured I'd just ask you guys first. Plus, I heard that these run better with the factory exhaust manifold, heating up the intake, but I wasn't sure how accurate that was.

    Cracked 302 exhaust manifold

Anyone have one of these laying around, just taking up space? I have a massive exhaust leak and thought it was the gasket between the intake and exhaust manifold, right below the carb, but upon further investigation, there's a massive crack in the manifold itself, and instead of JB weld-ing it...
