    HMMWV tire squeal

    M998 Tire Squeal Check all tire pressures and ALSO Tire Diameter...!! If one Tire is considerably smaller in diameter that wheel will be turning at a considerably different rpm...it's a real quick, painless and no real cost check..!! Please let me know if this takes care of issue or not...😀...

    Perform charging system check for alternator output, normally light comes on when voltage is very low or non-existed...also please double check fuses and possibly any in line fuses that may be hidden under electrical tape.     Any idea what could have caused this?

    I agree with 86 humv...where's the fan clutch Assy..?? We all know what happens when a fan clutch seizes up...a real weird vibration right before the metal klunking sounds start. Also for the 25 plus years in the automotive industry, I have seen my share of brand new..not rebuilt parts fail...

    With that being said I went out and looked at the lines going into the tank and found that the lines threads into a "Bung" and is welded to the tank..?? So short of destroying the line or the tank, how would you go about checking the line...I had one thought and it was to fill tank up as much...

    Nope...every 4L80E transmission came from the factory with a "Park" position...and of course a new letter "P" inside the vehicle on the shifter Assy.

    Joe, I had my friend at the Machine shop remove the required amount of material, using the right machine shop equipment made it look like it came right from the factory..!!..that's the way you want all of your stuff to look like...100% OEM..!!! Bob

    You DO NOT want to do a Transmission conversion and put in a 4L60 trans (700R4)... Trust me when I say you will be satisfied with the 4L80E. Everything about this designation is above where you would ever be...in other words the torque capacity is so much higher then anything else out...

    ​It is an obsolutly awesome COMPLETE quality Tow kit that comes with more adapters then you'll ever use..!! Dharpe82 is eBay handle and my advice is to get one before there gone..!! Please look picture in post #7, these are the tow bar feet you will require. 3/4 " pin dia at the shackle hook...
