Where would you put that if you were trying to use it to determine rpm’s? I was thinking it would, just wasn’t sure where you’d put it to get an accurate reading.

In 1st gear, I’m hitting 3k at 15mph. I don’t think it’s wrong. I could be mistaken but I’ve had to drive some diesel work trucks and like I said, I’m pretty accurate. How would I verify?

Any idea if the tps would cause something like this? Last night I accidentally left it unplugged and I could only go 55mph, once I connected it, I was able to go higher 63-65. Wasn’t sure if adjusting the position would affect rpm’s in a significant way.
I should have mentioned, I did follow with gps and it surprisingly the speedometer is correct or almost. I have 40’s and I probably got closer to 65 at 3300rpms.

I feel it shift 3 times so I’d assume it’s going through all 4 gears. I don’t really know about the lockup, I’ve been driving a cvt vehicle for so long or a manual before that.
Any ideas on where I’d need to start? Someone said brake switch but I’m confused how that would help top speeds, I assumed when you pressed the brake to decelerate, it would unlock but it’s not as if you press your brakes while accelerating so I would think default position(not activated)...
I guess it’s possible, I honestly don’t know much about transmissions and fixing them. I got lucky with figuring out the wiring but I figured it would throw some code if something like that was broken.
