Item won on 8/16 and EUC with payment was submitted same day. Sent to TSC on 8/21. Approved and ready for release today 8/29.
This is like my 6th EUC though.
Defrost isn't usually an issue where I live in NC. But yes that is the kind I'm referring to.
I may be able to get a pair of them and just was curious if they would work for me in my truck.
I originally wanted to go the route of 5/8" thick supplemental glass and all related retainers, but the...
I think this a fairly new thought. I've seen people asking about this for various builds but not for a soft top.
I know that these normally on up-armored trucks with like 4 pieces of armor behind the lip of the windshield frame. But in my simple mind it looks like it could be made to work with...
No clue on the bushings. But the skin is supposed to be repaired with sealant around a patch plate that is then riveted in place. for bad damages to the internal insulation they recommended filling with a similar insulation piece and sealant, then the outside patch.
So your saying that I could get by with a 30kw unit? because that's the only 2 choices if going the military route. I agree with you and felt like 50kw would be a better fit.
lol, thank you all for the comments. What I am looking at powering is a series of pump motors. The most of which would be 50hp. and not more than 1 at a time.
I am looking into getting a MEP-806A for an industrial application that would require 3 phase 480V. I can look up the specs on the 806 and see that it can produce 240/416 3 phase but it appears that it can be "tunned" up to reach 480V on the 60Hz side.
Am I reading this correctly?
Thank you,
Corey
On the early trucks, not the newer heavily armored ones like m1114 and up, will the glass from the hardtop windshields work in a softtop frame?
Like glass from a m1025 or m1045 in a m998 frame? And i am aware that the retainers from the m1045 supplemental glass would be thicker than the m1025...
I am trying to get a pair of hmmwv frame rails from eastern surplus to me in lumberton nc. Im not 5 miles from I95. I would be more than happy to pay for shipping services.
Thank you,
Corey
Do you have a photo of the inside of the bed area?
The brackets on the outside of the windshield are for the over head cargo rack. Used to store the commo netting and support pole system.
Lol. So I've noticed the trend is now.
Even in changing it to a 4 man soft top I would still keep it all military. I am very much a purest....most of the time.
But I would still retain all the parts for the prime mover kit and maybe one day build it into that configuration after I've sourced...
I do believe that the m1069 was first used as the prime mover platform and then the m1097.
I'm just not sure if it's worth it to keep it in that configuration or to make it into a 4 man soft top. If I did that I would keep all the prime mover parts so it could be turned back into one down the...
So I have a bit of a dilemma in regards as to how to build my dad's new hmmwv. It is a m998 on the data plate. However it has all of the holes, bolts, footman loops, rear bumper, and front winch to be a prime mover.
I have asked this question over on g503 but I wanted to ask it here as well to...
I was a bit premature in posting about the winch controller. My new hmmwv had a mile marker winch installed and didn't have the controller or the hook for the cable. When I got to looking around and in the battery compartment I found it all. Including the snatch block. All brand new in the wrappers
I was at southern metals last week in Wilmington Nc. They are scrapping these as hard as they can go. But selling some parts in the process. They told me that the denim codes were changed in them and they can no longer be sold as complete units.
The cab must be crushed
