I recently replaced my rear main seal due to a leak. Would leak about an 8" puddle after shutdown. When I did the replacement, did not see a lot of oil in bellhousing, but some running down from seal area. No oil on the clutch disk or pressure plate. I also noticed that there was not a carrier...
Replace rear main seal and bearing carrier gasket this weekend. Thanks to all the past posts on this site for doing this job, it was a non event. Have lots of pictures if anyone is interested. Thanks.
Great input from all, thanks. One funny thing about heading downhill in the deuce comes from when I recovered mine. The route back home was through the Tehachapi pass (4000') down to the valley (200'). My dad asked me how the brakes did on the way down. I said "What brakes? I had to stay on the...
The interesting thing was when I first got the truck, it was working fine, and failed the day after I filled up the tank. When it failed I assumed it was the sender reostat or some other thing that "got off track" after I filled.
What turned out to happen was when I filled the tank, it fully...
I was reading the Multi-Fuel Operators "comic book", and read that you should should not downshift to slow down for stopping.

What do you other drivers typically do?
Thanks,
Mark
I had issues with my Fuel Sender, and pulled it out of the tank to troubleshoot. Ultimately found the float had a leak, and repaired with solder.
Wanted to post pictures showing the measurement of resistance at Empty, Half and Full locations.
The Sender does not need to be removed from the...
Hello,
I am wondering what this bracket is on my new deuce. It is on the passenger side and runs along the front of the door, behind the exhaust stack. The truck is an M109, with a cargo bed installed.
I am thinking it is some sort of antenna mount, but am not sure.
Thanks,
Mark T
Very impatient drivers where I live (Bakersfield, CA), so middle finger is kind of like a wave here. I just like any reaction! Thanks for the compliments on the truck, they should be directed to member SmokeWagon66, he built up the truck. Did a great job.
Just picked up my new Deuce yesterday! Recovery ride was a non-event.
I have already figured out there are three reactions to the deuce on the road:
1. Not even noticed
2. Thumbs Up
3. The middle finger
Looking forward to some good times ahead.
