    Locked out of Cab

Makes sense. All of mine have been from the Western US and the bolts were so covered in sealant that they looked almost new once the sealant was cleaned off.

    Locked out of Cab

I've never had to drill a turret cover bolt to remove them, but agree that removing the quarter panel glass is probably easier. For the turret cover bolts I cut all the sealant away from the bolts and make sure I get all the sealant out of the socket. I then use a 3/8" drive hex bit and they...

GL Humvees for sale--where are these from

If these go like standard GL auctions, there will be 1 HMMWV that is "representative" and the rest will be a combination of M274 Mules, Jeeps, an M35 or two, and a crate of porta-johns.

Bought LMTV... and Got Hemmet Cab

Turns out the 2009 had a data plate on the crate along with the FMTV STD CAB sticker. 2002 had the FMTV STD CAB sticker, a hand written NO GO tag, and A1 in spray paint

Bought LMTV... and Got Hemmet Cab

Both had an FMTV std cab sticker and I am pretty sure both had A1 spray painted on in black. I don't recall any other markings beyond the original armored cab markings. I will check and report back.

Bought LMTV... and Got Hemmet Cab

Valid point. If I understand the law correctly, this is legally misrepresentation instead of fraud.

    replacement door handle trips

    PM sent. I have them.

Bought LMTV... and Got Hemmet Cab

The fraud isn't that they are using the same pictures. These things are in sealed crates that are very thoroughly bolted and nailed shut (one of mine had more than 80 large nails in addition to the bolts holding the crate box to the pallet). They opened one up, took pictures and said they were...

Bought LMTV... and Got Hemmet Cab

I got two out of Herlong. One was a 2009 the other was from a wrecked 2002 with 18k miles. Front was bent up, both door glass broken, seats torn, etc.

Can I borrow your broken door handle part?

They are a pain to machine. I did one out of 4140 and it is a lot of work for a low-demand part. I ended up casting 10 of each side out of bronze and it took 10 months to sell them at $50 each. I'm not going to do another run, but I do have 1 of each side left that you can borrow if you want to...

Scott is making the rods and I still have some of the trips I made out of bronze.

It is the bottom mount point for the document bag.

    replacement door handle trips

Yes, I did end up making them and have both left and right available. They are $50 each and include a new rivet.

    FMTV steel grilles

Depends on the cost, but I'm interested.

    Add pto to lmtv 1078

Yes, it is possible to add a PTO, hydraulic tank, cab controls, winch etc. I added them to my M1083A1 conversion. The PTO is a pain to put in while the transmission is in the truck, but I did it on mine so it IS possible. The rest is fairly strait forward. I do still have a spare tank, mounts...

Ideas for middle bench seat for LMTV?

Check out using two 2009-2014 Ford F150 center jump seats installed side-by-side https://www.steelsoldiers.com/showthread.php?150532-Jump-seats-for-M-1079

    Bend in compressor coolant line

I had to reroute the compressor coolant line to make space for the A/C brackets on my M1083A1 with a 3126. Is this bend going to cause me any issues down the road? There aren't any kinks and it isn't rubbing anywhere. My natural inclination is to want to do it right, but the fitting on the left...
