    Deuce muffler option

Here is a pic of the m35a3 intake installed. Just remove the old intake filter housing and cut the access door shorter. Buy adapters, elbow, 45, some clamps and a piece of aluminum pipe.

    Deuce muffler option

You could just put a rubber stopper in it or cap so if you get the m3 muffle you can use it. It is in the back and it is hard to see. But at the end of the day it is what you like.

    Deuce muffler option

Here is a better picture. I live down road the from the Tnj Murray. They had parted out some m3's and they are still there so you could get the parts from them that are needed. You just cut the J pipe at the fender and weld a 3 1/2 to 4 in adater with a flange on your stock J pipe and it bolts...

LDS VS LDT and the real differences

I feel more comfortable at 1100F EGT's. I spent the last four years restoring my truck myself during my days off. I have made many mods during the process. I am very happy with it and I just have a few small things to do and I will have it back on the road in a few days.

I do understand the injectors and I was not able to source the two hole injectors at the time. I picked up the one hole injectors NOS for less than 50 bucks each. I will keep looking for the two injectors to install.

I have been doing some research on the trademark and I have not found anything information on it as of yet. You are most likely correct about the trademark. But on another note, I took my truck for a test drive today that has the ldt d engine that I have installed the LDS 1a piston and liner...

LDS VS LDT and the real differences

I have the photos of my engine ldt 465 d with M.A.N on the tag and the casting mark. The tag is new but it is the same as the one that was on my engine. My engine is dated 1989. I put the LDS injection pump and injectors in today so now my ldt is an LDS now. It runs grea

on the head they are on the top of the head or under the valve cover. I cant remember. The heads are machined on 5 sides so it is on the top some where.

LDS VS LDT and the real differences

The heads TNJ Murrary have are the late model with all of the update to prevent cracking between the valves. The heads are complete with the studs valves and springs for 400 buck. They were used on both Lds and ldt. They were the last heads made for the 465. They have the old man symbol on them...

The manual I just posted 575 has a lot of info on how this engine works. They were many companies over the years that had made this engine and there has been a few design changes over the years. Continental, Hercules, White and MAN have produced this engine. The block and heads on my engine...

LDS VS LDT and the real differences

You must keep in mind that the Continental 465 series engine is not a true diesel engine. The 465 is a Hypercycle combustion multifuel engine. Due to the 465’s design their many limitations of what can be done to improve the engines performance. 1. The ports in the head swirls the air...

LDS VS LDT and the real differences

injector I am a diesel mechanic and I do understand hypercycle combustion very well. The two hole injector would work better. The injector has two small holes that are about equal to the size of the one hole injector. The difference between the two injectors is the one hole puddles fuel in the...

LDS VS LDT and the real differences

I am heading back to the bush to work in the mines in Mali. I will be back for xmas. I will install the lds injectors and pump and I will post the results. I did some research on the LDS injectors and found that they went to one hole in the later years instead of two hole. I have an nos set of...

LDS VS LDT and the real differences

I went through all the manuals from 1965 to the last one in the 90's and all the cams were the same. The ldt 465 1d, I know has to same cam as the lds 1a. The LDS 2 has may differences. Some of them are a bit crazy. The engine seems to have been a replacement for the old gas engines. It has not...

LDS VS LDT and the real differences

The over all length is .030 in shorter, but the adjustment screw hole in the rocker are is on a angle that brings the ball end of the rocker closer to the Rocker shaft changing the ratio. I did not see it until I installed the Rocker Arm and adjusted the screw out. To set the lash you have to...
