I just spoke with Brian (lot guy) at the Fort Riley lot, Craig actually got a promotion and is now running some bases west of Kansas. New POC is Brian Babst.
They are all great guys at the Fort Riley yard. Once you have been there a few times it becomes second nature.
We took the Green Giant to her first parade on Saturday, and my 17 year old daughter that has decided that she loves mv iron as much as I do, entered it into the car and truck show today and won the sponsors choice trophy , going up against over 300 participants! Now she is bidding on her own...
The recovery went great today, thank you. 12 hour round trip, only because we spent a couple of hours previewing some of the 800 5 tons they fit in in the last couple weeks that are going up for addiction in the upcoming months. (Oops, typo) auction, but maybe addiction is a more accurate...
Good to hear! Craig is great. I'm heading down in the morning to pick up a couple more, but only 180 miles each way for me. Just got back from 320 mile round trip to camp dodge yesterday in the M925 to pick up a couple 5 ton flat bed trailers in the pouring rain and thunder and lightning but...

Agreed, that is why I left mine at home. Felt naked without it, but bases are at heightened security these days, just leave them home, don't need any additional problems on a long recovery trip.
although I have a concealed carry and I usually have a pistol or two with me I opted not to take them when I went to do my recovery last week, but the signat the entrance where u have to get you a pass if you do not have a military ID said no unregistered weapons allowed...
My wife and I picked up a few of these from Fort Riley yesterday, I already had one so I was already familiar with them. If you do not have a 24 volt to 12 volt adapter harness you can use magnetic tow lights and stick them right onto the rear leg support and just a zip tie them on for good...
I always use my bank card, but you want transactionto be processed as credit and not debit because if you process as credit then you are protected for your purchases through MasterCard or Visa whoever the card issuer is if it is debit then it is not protected. I learned this years ago from my...
I have found that instead of rapping it with a hammer, I just shut the drivers door while the battery switch and ignition switch are on and it jumps to life and then it will start. Until I get around to testing and replacing offending part, this is my temp solution, haha.
Got the Jolly Green Giant picked up a couple weeks ago, (Daddies truck) and lil Sprout (Mommas new Jeep) got to get a piggy back ride.
Got her plated as a farm truck at 25 tons so as not to have to pay the federal tax that would kick in at 27 tons and above, cost $440.00 first year with sales...
When you say it builds pressure when cold, do you mean ambient temperature cold, or within a few minutes or hours after running it?
The reason I ask is because most laymen don't realize that an engine reaches it's hottest temperature and cooling system pressure after the engine is shut down...
Hi guys,
I sent an email to RRAD requesting information as to repairs they had performed on my recently acquired '83 M925 w/w during a rebuild in '09. I included serial number, rebuild tag, mwo tags and pretty much all numbers I could find on the truck in my initial email to them. Here is a...
Spent the last 4 days reading all 1388 posts and numerous links in this 5 ton thread. Learned several tips and tricks and got several ideas for my own rig. I am impressed with the ingenuity and creativity of the members of this group and their love of the green iron shows. Keep up the good work!
