I spoke with Black Dog Customs a few months back they were selling the oem plug for 350 I think

After market seats or alternate seats for HMMWV / m998 ?

Those go to the top of the shoulder - no head rest. I'm going to be listing my OEM high back seats from the 1165 in the classifieds if anyone is interested. EDIT: never mind, i guess only premium subscribers can post ads. Sorry if I violated a rule by leaving this up

    Rotted headliner removal.

Is taking the roof on and off easy?? I assume the seals stick it down

    Waterproofing 1165 top

Yes mine is the plug. Are you having the whole back wall sprayed down into the bed too? That’s what I’m thinking of doing, but some of the gaps between metal, with rubber or foam seals, are quite wide. I wasn’t sure if the bedliner material would span that without cracking

    Waterproofing 1165 top

I don’t know what to do. there’s no TM for this roof I can find, and it seems like a poor design for water run off in general, lots of holes, gaps at the corners, no drip rails on the sides like the original 1045 roofs, etc. There’s like 30ish bolt holes in the roof and I’m not sure if it comes...

    Rotted headliner removal.

Rockwool doesn’t itch, that’s fiberglass. The stuff in that link isn’t the batts you stuff in a wall, it’s stiffer, more like foam board.

    Rotted headliner removal.

Mine is crumbling away too, messy stuff. I am going to try and preserve the outer layer to use as a template for cutting the new material. I had thought about using some kind of foam but that could be squeaky. This mineral wool stuff is great for sound, repeals water, and could work...

    Waterproofing 1165 top

I went out in the dark but this is what I could get: 2 shots show the passenger seat getting wet on the tunnel side. It must be soaked from the roof but I haven’t seen any obvious spot it’s coming from. one shot is near the rear wheel well, it’s leaking real low, and the foam gasket To the...

    Waterproofing 1165 top

What’s a good quality sealant? The top inside edge if the passenger seat gets soaked. And water comes in the rear corners, behind where it could get to if it snuck in the doors. if someone could explain what all these different types of Seam sealer are that would be helpful. I think I’ll...

    Carc to Urethane

I went with something similar. P100 for dust and also rated for organic compounds. Figured it would help if I spray anything but I also do a lot of wood finishing so it’ll be dual use. now if only I had someone else’s parking lot to do my sanding in lol!!

    Carc to Urethane

I’d like to get some clarification on sanding carc for repaint. would a good dust mask from Lowes or HD work? Like the kind that take filters for drywall ???(drywall dust is real fine and usually yourvacuum needs a heppa filter to filter it out) also since the only place I have to sand this...

    Waterproofing 1165 top

3 questions: 1- Does anyone know if there’s a breakdown of this top in the TMs? I looked in the 1165 parts TM but nothing came up when searching for top, roof, turret, sponson, wall, nada. 2- can you weld some of these seams and fill-the screw holes without melting whatever rubber seal is in...

    Waterproofing 1165 top

It’s the 1165 hard top. I think it could be modified it with some welding and stuff. But I’d consider selling the top or whole truck beforE I went to that trouble I think.

    Waterproofing 1165 top

I got my truck over the weekend. It’s been raining and all four seats are soaked. I wasn’t expecting it to be 100% dry but I was expecting it to be somewhat dry! anyone have any ideas? Can you use seam sealer around the turret? What about filling gaps at the rear corners? Better drip edge...

    Harbor Freight Purple HVLP mod

Do the guy who use the behr paint use the Harbor Freight 2mm tip siphon gun?

    Harbor Freight Purple HVLP mod

And that’s the purple one? It’s 1.4mm. Do you have to thin it? I’ve never used a spray gun and when I have tried I totally failed

    Harbor Freight Purple HVLP mod

I am looking at these guns. What tip size do you need for CARC substitute? Probably that Gillsepie brand? And maybe some clearcoat. They have 1.4mm 1.7mm 1.8mm 2mm.... And what would be considered a "heavy grade airless coatings gun"
