wire Rope
Its good to see people acknowledging the topic of correct wire rope care. Being a crane operator myself I cant stress enough what a great book Bobs rigging manual is. For the money I recommend this book for you all. Floridianson, Cranetruck if you do not already have one, you guys...
I have an older M series 5 ton with an identification tag that says m series 5 ton without winch. However, I am looking to put one on. Can anyone tell me besides the winch itself, mounting brackets, and propeller shaft etc, from start to finish what are all the components that I will need to...
Does anyone have a spare FDC, Type B pump for the multi-fuel engine? My Fuel adjustment shaft has some damaged threads or damaged adjusting nuts on the threaded shaft. Also , I am looking for the Idle adjustment stem and nut. If anyone can help, as always, it would be greatly appreciated. Thanks.
Does anyone have specs for the LDS 465 1a injector pump? I am looking for the specs for the fuel screw and the droop screw. I know there must be reference somewere. For example fuel screw might be 1 1/2 turns out from being screwed all the way in. I know how to make the adjustments, I would just...
I am sure this one has been tossed around a lot. Does anyone have a mod for the turn signal/ marker lights to allow headlights and the marker lights to work together at the same time for night time driving? Not sure if this would cause a volt/ amp problem. Just at night coming head on with a...
Sorry to beat a dead deuce,I mean horse. Is there any difference between a cold startup knock apposed to a warm engine knock. Perhaps these multi fuels knock on cold startup and then heat and expansion make them silent. just trying to avoid messing with an old engine if I dont have to. Thanks.
My 5 ton multi- fueler knocks a little at start up. And it sounds like it is at crank speed. This forum is like taking a C.P.R class. After you are done you think you're going to have a heart attack or have brain failure. Needless to say, I will be lowering my oil pan. good info post.
My pump appears to be good but that damn center plunger bolt in the middle weeps fuel. This is the bolt in the IP head that is in the middle of all the injector lines.Damn!
Like mudguppy said, but with this addition, run the engine and drill or tap but also put a 5 gallon bucket on top of the stack. That will give you great back pressure at the drilling site. Good luck. Check out my post on this topic and you can see how my job came out .
Greetings all. Is there anyone who can post a picture of their rear end to display the more up to date mounting of their tail lights. My 5 ton is an M series and its a 1955 so the lights are just mounted underside the bed with cheesy mounting brackets. Just waiting for me to back up and catch...
Not sure if the drain on the oil cooler is for freeze or oil. I opened mine and there appeared to be oil in that location. Not sure. Can anyone elaborate?
