I did find it in the -10 now (I had to look a bit closer, lol) but, I have the disc but no caliper so as you said it must have been upgraded because I have a great e-brake.
So I guess my next question would be, could I remove this disc or should I just leave it?
Thanks,
GRant
I've got the -10, didn't notice this disc. I am not towing home, I have owned it awhile and am towing it 4 down behind my bus Motorcoach which has airbrakes and will have a secondary brake on the hmmwv. I AM disconnecting the front driveshaft not sure where that came from but I must not have...
No the front has 4 8mm bolts at the diff. The rear driveshaft has 4 13mm bolts that connect the shaft to the diff but there is a thin disc between the shaft and diff. It is way too thin to be an emergency brake and there are no calipers mounted to it, there is nothing attached to it to be...
When disconnecting the rear drive shaft is it imperative to make sure the disc goes back the same way. I assume this is a balancer disc. I am going to tow it and the rear 4 bolts seem to be the easiest detach point.

Is there a fuse panel or similar in these m998 trucks? My wiper didn't work so I tested and I couldnt find power but thought maybe I was doing something wrong, so I ordered a new wiper motor. I got it in, hooked it up and it does not work either.
So back to my original question, is there a fuse...
Hummer 4x4 guy, I am testing the regulator to see if it is putting out 24volts?
Dock Rocker, Would the voltage be 24? Or is it derated at the plugs?
Also I failed to mention when I am trying to start in the morning it does have white smoke coming from the exhaust as I turn it over.
Thanks...
Ok, I got my 1985 Hmmwv this weekend and as the previous owner had said it does not like to start cold. When the temps outside are cold you need ether to start it (first start only, it starts fine the rest of the day even if the truck temp is cold). He said when it is warm outside it starts...
The guy I bought it from said he replaced the glow plugs and had trouble shot it to the point he thought it was the EESS but I am reading here about having a matching TSU so, once I get it home I will start trouble shooting starting by knowing which EESS I have.
Thanks,
Grant
Where can I find an EESS box? I have bought a 1985 and was told it starts in warm weather but doesn't want to in cold weather. Any help is appreciated.
By the way I am new to this forum so be kind, lol.
